Shuttle & Loom — Restaurant in England

Sorry but would be 1 star if it where not for the staff been friendly nice young lad who took our order thank you . Had a meal today . 2 adults . 1 child . Childs meal was 6 nuggets with chips the upgrade one . From the meal coming out we counted 8 chips on plate sad maybe yes for my son . But could not help notice with there not been a lot on the plate.. Informed the staff member who in return went to kitchen for her to return . To say that there was more chips on then normal the kitchen staff told her . Dread to see what the standard portion size can be . 4 chips maybe 5 ?? .

Next problem was we had no cutlery or sauce when the meals all 3 arrived at the tabel . So we basically had to wait around 2 or 3 minutes for the cutlery to come and by then the food was cold . I may be wrong but to me is it not common to bring these items out before the food arrives. We both said even the portion sizes had got smaller on the adult meals from the last time we where there . Yes it was over a year ago but it was definitely noticeable

To be fair the waitress at the end tried to help when we said we had not enjoyed our meals . She managed to get my son a small piece of brownie free of charge .

We have been here a few times over the years and mainly before lockdown . First time back and im sorry it will be the last not that it will effect yourself in anyway or...

With everything going on I was really worried about going out to eat but the staff at the shuttle made me feel at ease they made sure everyone followed the guidelines and sanitized and cleaned constantly, there was 3 people working when I went in the girl who was our server was a lovely young girl called ellie and while she did seem a little stressed she was still super friendly and polite, I didn't catch one of their names but the other one was callan who I'm guessing was the manager as we had been given a wrong drink and he came over to sort it out and he was very professional and was suggesting we try different things and asked us what we liked and going off that he clearly knew their stock and I can see they've had quite a lot of good reviews lately and they're well deserved, it's sad that we won't be able to come back for a while but I wish them all the best and hope they cope with all these further...

We go a lot to Shuttle and Loom and was amazing . Great food and service. Left a review six months ago as was amazing. Sadly it does seem to have gone downhill. Went last week and it was just too busy with not nice clientele and felt uncomfortable. Went tonight and started off okay, order taken for food and drinks. It's our usual order, double burger with cheese and chips and Gammon and chips. Gammon was lovely to be fair. Unfortunately my son couldn't eat one of the burgers as was definitely undercooked. Almost raw. We decided to leave as nobody came over to see if food okay and it was busy. Put it down to experience. Really disappointing as we do come a lot , but maybe a break would be a good idea.
