Springfield Hotel — Restaurant in England

Part of Marston's chain of pubs, you'd think that would give you a pretty good choice of beers, especially as they have a "regularly changing guest ale". Not so, they seemed to stick with the same "guest" for months and months, so we got bored and stopped going. Went back last night and they had Jenning's Crag Rat. Result! A great ale, and one you don't get every day! Maybe they'll have this one on for months again, and we'll get bored, but hopefully not! Other than that, nice pub, decent interior decor & layout, decent, cheap grub and a friendly approachable manager. A better "family" pub than the nearby Shuttle & Loom and beer is £1 a pint cheaper than The Old farmhouse...

Nice clean pub, they have a very strict set of rules which takes away from being able to enjoy having a drink in there. Some of the staff (or maybe just regulars who think they own the place) have been rude to me more than once. They wouldn't let me use the 2 cue balls on the table to warm up before my opponent arrived 😆 some woman snatched one off the table and muttered something about a deposit only covering one cue ball (she wasn't even working there just sat at the bar drinking) 🤣 pathetic really but the pub, drinks and food are all fine. My cup of was cold. My friends coke was flat. The service of the barmaid (Macy) was disgraceful. She was rude and arrogant. She missed me out and went on to serve someone else. When I said I was next she told me it was my fault because I didn’t shout up. I nerve bothered ordering my dessert and walk away upset. She was also very rude to the lady next to me.
