Sitwell Fish Bar — Restaurant in England

Most Fish and chip shops have a good chips as it is the bread-and-butter of the trains. All chippies have got their own products which they like to sell more than others. However, this chippy generally does most things you’d expect from the chippy.

The owners usually in when we’ve been and we’ve had a laugh. We moved into the area and don’t really know the shops or the people around. However the staff have been really helpful and quite quirky. Definitely place to try out if you fancy some good wholesome British takeaway

Pricing is about average, but slightly deal on some products as expected, but the day-to-day ordering is pretty on point with the current market.

Portion sizes are pretty average however don’t be too specific with your order which sounds crazy as you’re paying for it as they won’t always follow the instructions which can be a bit frustrating at times as the wait times are long ( casual speed / service) and you don’t wanna hold to holdup hungry people...

Visited on Wednesday lunchtime (10th Oct) only to find it was closed, despite the opening hours on the door stating it should be open! This place used to be a great fish & chip shop, and we have been regular customers for the past 40 years! Sadly, this was the final straw. Together with reduced opening times, and the food quality which has dropped markedly over the last year or so, my wife and I have taken the decision to find an alternative source for our lunchtime fish and chips. Very expensive for small portions and its not the best quality food for the price your paying.. The staff are very ignorant and only speak to ask what you want No smile or greeting. It feels very unfriendly. I have been a handful of times as it is quite local. But since there is never a change in quality or service i venture a little futher for better quality and service after all my family tea time get to gether is worth that little extra effort..There is no access for disability or the elderly and i really dont think help would be...
