"Customer for 15 YEARS - BANNED - due to SUBSTANDARD STARBUCKS SERVICE"
I have been going to this Starbucks for 15 years. However, three weeks ago I was racially discriminated by a member of Starbucks staff who goes by the name Ines (Anna) green eyes and dark hair approx 5"5 (Romanian Origin). I go there normally 3-4 times a week spending average about £300-400 a month. I walked in and got served and paid for my order, however, she was the only staff working behind the till whilst another was sweeping the floor (which doesn’t happen often - it's normally quite filthy).
After receiving my over heated croissant two coffees we still had to wait another 10-15min for Ines to make our porridge whilst she served another 4-5 customers and made their coffees. Naturally unhappy with the fallen level of service I decided to enquire by asking her: ''Are you short of staff?'' To which she rudely and confrontationally replies: ''Why?!''
Things then went from bad to worse with her calling me an "idiot''. Eventually the fairly recent manager who was hiding away in the staff room eventually comes out and fails to address the situation in a managerial manner. She could not even control her own staff Ines who after being instructed by the manager to go into the staff room for a time-out unprofessionally responds: ''No, I have had enough!''
This not only showed that the manager has no discipline and authority over her own staff but also that she was completely lost in how to deal with a staff-customer incident.
We have had problems with this particular staff member on previous two occasions for rudeness and inability to make the usual lattes. When we complained we were told by the manager we have never had any complaints regarding this member of staff before. Even though this in itself was not a professional response we answered that it must be either personal or simple a complaint is a complaint regardless of the number of times it has been made and by whom.
Anyway, every time we complained we got treated like kids in the sense they kept offering free coffee vouchers and re-making the food etc (just as you would give kids sweets to satisfy them).
When I called head office and spent 1hr talking to an advisor called (Louise) reporting the incident as well as other issues such and cleanliness, hygiene, and customer service issues I got a reply back within less than two weeks on an email with no company address or logo just to say I’ve been banned and I cannot discuss this matter further with them.
This was the most appalling and shocking response I have received, Starbucks were not interested in the racial discrimination treatment I received instead they stood and protected the welfare of the staff and its business they showed no loyalty and appreciation for the customer and when I tried to call back again to discuss the ban as I found this quite extreme considering it was an isolated incident and mistakes were made from both sides they didn’t want to know and cut me off completely.
Even when I attempted to call after receiving a letter of ban from Starbucks to discuss the matter I was told quite out- rightly: ''This matter is not to be discussed any further.'' Finally, when mentioned I may be taking this further again I was carelessly, brushed-off with: ''You are well within your rights to do so.''
Finally if you have experienced the same or worse do not be afraid to take matters further as this shows companies such as Starbucks couldn’t care less about your experience. It’s time to show that without customers there is no business and reputation depends on solely on what...
Read moreTerrible terrible atmosphere!
Unfortunately, Starbucks in Taplow isn’t very good anymore. There is a problem with staff, and unfortunately there is no equality and it’s purely female and quite moody is the atmosphere.
I visited yesterday and the member of staff really just didn’t care on the till was more concerned about talking to a colleague.
Customer service involves talking to the customer.
I visited with my mum of people and she was told incorrect information about the coffee that she was ordering. Is it possible to teach the staff about coffee because some people really would like to know information?
I wanted to interject and say you are not giving the right information , but I thought let’s leave a review on Google because that is the best way to do things rather than talk to somebody who doesn’t want to engage.
I wasn’t acknowledged as a customer neither was my mother and yeah, what a disappointing visit.
The same goes for Central Slough store.
What a shame our local starbucks are rubbish.
Have some energy people drink some coffee and enjoy your work. Not a single smile given to the customer yesterday absolutely shocking!
The coffee quality of my whole milk venti latte was also poor.

Read moreThe store has a weird layout. The atmosphere almost has a business feel to it. Staff here are generally friendly and polite, but they aren't always quick. Drink quality could be better. The cafe is always dirty and it seems like they don't collect the dirty items from it. This is more when the queue to the tills are long. On the plus side though, there merchandise display always looks nice but they are way too expensive for the quality of...
