On a rainy day in March I found myself wanting. Wanting a hot beverage. A hot beverage that was slightly overpriced. So, as I was passing I decided to call into this particular branch of Starbucks. Normally I don't frequent their establishment as I don't agree with their tax paying code of practice. Anyway, I entered the building through the door. It was a nice enough door I suppose. A push / pull type which worked adequately. As I approached the counter I chanced a gaze upon the wall that had the 'menu'. Well, what a confusing mess that it. I just wanted a coffee. Here's the twist. I don't do dairy. I'm not a vegan I hasten to add but dairy doesn't agree with me. So I was pleased to spy up on the board something about some dairy alternatives. The young lady that served me seemed to be mid way through a choking session. She took my order of a small coffee with oat milk and promptly excused herself. I could hear her coughing in the back room. Poor thing I thought. So, she took my order then told the young lady behind the big old machine that looks like something Fred Dibner could have driven down the road and she started to construct my beverage. I waited for what seemed like 2 minutes but in all honesty it was probably only 90 seconds and my coffee was plonked on the counter in front of me. I thanked the young lady and added the sugars that I required and said cheerio and left the building. Back through that lovely door. A few carefully groomed hipsters sat with their laptops looked me up and down as I left but I paid them no attention, and I suggest that you do the same. The coffee was OK. Nothing amazing. And at just over 3 earth pounds for the privilege I was expecting a much more enjoyable beverage. So there you...
Read morefirstly shouting at other customers across the shop not to move the seating but as you could see they where a large family with not enough seating available at this point ,this then made another table leave as the felt uncomfortable on a larger table. George’s unprofessionalism continued as he started shouting at another customer how he was very busy as he had to work all over the Christmas period the lady he was shouting had only asked for the tables to be cleaned as she was caring for a vulnerable disabled gentleman which I found appalling she was only out doing her job!!!! And then to continue to shout about social distancing which to a trained carer who I assume is fully aware of the importance of social distancing as after all all she wanted was a clean safe environment for her and the disabled gentleman , he continued to be rude to this lady, I feel every body in the shop felt uncomfortable including myself. Then there was a third incident as another two customer mentioned that this particular member of staff(George) had been rude to them on a previous occasion , to this George continued to shout and be aggressive with all three ladies saying he was going to refuse to serve them and if they where unhappy to leave even though they had paid for drinks this is unacceptable we are in a pandemic and if staff can’t keep the store clean or are refusing to keep tables and surfaces Clean they should be shut and staff should be trained in hygiene and customer service!
I don’t come to Starbucks to witness unprofessionalism of this nature I come to enjoy my coffee and relax with friends and...
Read moreGreat place. Food can be more bread than filling here so often eat elsewhere but they do cater for vegan ajd vegetarian. They stopped doing nutblend milk recently which is not good for us who are vegan or have intolerance to animal milk. They also had no pat milk so I left without purchase. However went again today and they did have oat milk. Their staff are awsome other than one chap called George who is unprofessional towards customers and extremely argumentative and once shouted across the shop to all stand 2 meters apart at the 12 in the queue. 3 left due to his behaviour. He also challenged me as I approached before he called my name but I could see it was my drink. He pushed it put across cou ter for collection and took a breath ti call my name but I approached before he got chance so he pulled the drinks back and said go and stand 3 meters away and refused to give me my drinks til I did so. The whole shop were shocked at his immature and rude pedantic behaviour. As soon as I stepped back he pushed them out and called my name. He looks for a fight qnd speaks to customers like they are HIS staff. If we go in and he is on shift we turn and leave now. He bullies other staff too we gave seen him. Some customers on twitter identified him as the guy sacked from morrisons in kidderminster for similar rude behaviour. If it weren't for him they'd...
