Sunbeam Cafe — Restaurant in England

A cozy little spot that turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. I walked in by chance, but the relaxed vibe and warm decor made me stay longer than I planned. The interior is bright, with lots of wood and greenery—true to the “Sunbeam” name. Calm music in the background and genuinely friendly staff made the atmosphere even better. They were helpful but not overbearing.

I ordered a pour-over coffee and a slice of carrot cake. The coffee was well-balanced—not too acidic, not too bitter. The cake was moist, slightly spiced, and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. The menu isn’t huge, but it feels like they focus more on doing a few things well rather than offering too much.

This cafe nestled within an industrial estate, is I guess very popular. It has an extensive menu, lots of potential customers, clean, tidy, and in this time of Covid, felt very safe, with multiple measures in place to minimise transmission. The food, my opposite number ordered a breakfast and I ordered Burger and Sweet Potato Fries. Food was hot, served quickly and looked really good. I went there twice by now. The first time I was impressed because despite being a small cafe in an industrial area seemed to be quite welcoming. Today I went there and I got breakfast and I asked if I could use the toilet, the answer was “ sorry we don’t have customer toilet”.
