Great cafe on the A5 watling Street (old Roman road) after Stony Stratford going north, but before Towester (lactodurum) an old Roman town 5 miles from the cafe that is too on the A5 that is well worth a visit too. They do great breakfasts and lunches with a daily specials board to tempt your appetites. The walls are covered with photo's of motorcycles and cars, and they play a mix of great music while you eat and drink copious amounts of tea. It's a haven if you need to have a break after driving, whether it be short or long distance. Parking is plentiful for both cars and motorcycles with a nice large area to exercise your legs, with toilets being in another block from the cafe. During the week you can walk in order food and sit at a table, but at weekends you get a lot of people either in cars or motorcyclists on runs that use this great place for a stop to meet friends or other motorcyclists. With that in mind the car park can become full from mid morning to closing time. There is normally a queue of people outside waiting up to the front door wanting food. It's great if you have time and don't mind waiting to order well presented and tasty food from the friendly tentative staff that work there. If you like your rock music, then this is the cafe to come too while you eat good food. Service is swift and there are 15 tables inside plus there is a marquee that is also used with tables, but not as warm as the cafe. Toilet block is very clean. During events they open a food wagon outside and the area makes you feel you are at a race circuit I can highly recommend this well established cafe for great food, music and atmosphere. You will leave with a smile...
Read moreA cafeteria of which its reputation proceeds it in terms of being a motorbike cafe. Which happened to be the exact reason I came here on occasion with family to see. There was a meet up, which meant that parking was quite limited for us in our car, but that was to be expected given the amount of motorbikes present. We ended up going into the cafe after looking at the bikes for over an hour, and with the queue already long before this, we thought it would ease off after a browse. It didn’t! We largely ordered fry up meals, not the full Monty, and might be glad that we didn’t. The portion sizes are very generous, and the pricing is also very reserved in contrast. One of our party had a breakfast bap, which seemed to be just the right size even though we were dining here for breakfast and lunch! Even the regular breakfasts we had were full on portion sizes. The food was otherwise great, ironically given the name, I personally found the sausage left a bit to be desired, but this may be personal preference - I am not really a fan of sausage except Lorne with my fry up meals.
Hope to visit again during another meet up and ride to...
Read moreI went to the Super Sausage many years ago when I had my harleys, and I have recently started going back to the super Sausage, well the place is brilliant, it's staff are fantastic, very polite, and catter for all, the amount of motorcycles that go there is outstanding, and the way they handle the numbers is fantastic, safety is a big thing they park the bikes and cars in two different places, and control the parking it makes things much safer, this is a place us normal motorcyclists love to go, no problems at all, because it's well managed all of the time, parking is safe and the food is fantastic, the prices are spot on, and the staff are always very polite, and very pleasant, and I have been to a lot of cafes over the years, I go both on my bike and in my car and I find it brilliant with both, and the noise is kept to a minimum witch is good for us bikers, and safety is at the top of the agenda because of the numbers that go, it's that popular, and has been for a long time, and that's because it's managed well, all in all a brilliant...
