Tucked away on Main Road in Nantwich, The Swan Inn is a charming, aesthetically pleasing pub that effortlessly blends traditional character with a warm and cozy atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, youâre welcomed into an inviting space where soft lighting, rustic dĂ©cor, and a homely feel make it the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
A huge part of the experience is the exceptional front-of-house team. Pauline and Lily are absolute stars, ensuring a smooth check-in process, offering spot-on dish recommendations, and answering any questions with genuine warmth and professionalism. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor make you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer.
And then thereâs the foodâsimply outstanding. My meal, the lamb rump, was nothing short of perfection. Cooked so tender, juicy and just pure excellence, it was paired beautifully with crushed garlic new potatoes, balsamic-glazed beetroot, and a redcurrant and port jus that added the perfect balance of richness and sweetness. The seasonal vegetables were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of crunch, enhancing the dish with freshness and vibrancy. Chef Antony clearly knows his craft, delivering a plate that was both visually stunning and bursting with flavor.
If youâre looking for a welcoming pub with impeccable service and truly exceptional food, The Swan Inn is a must-visit. Whether youâre stopping in for a quick drink or a full meal, youâll leave feeling well taken care of and...
Read moreFascinating place, one of the most interesting interiors Iâve seen in a long time, a cross between Hogworts and St. Trinian's, beautifully put together and well kept. The outside seating and the beer garden area is outstanding, with a great backdrop of the âWybunbury Towerâ adding to the Hogworts theme⊠itâs good they have some letting rooms by the carpark, not the largest rooms but adequate and kept, very convenient if your having a couple of days away in the countryside. The Wybunbury Moss is within easy reach starting at the back of the carpark / church yard of the Tower. The rooms are within easy access of all pub facilities, with parking for each room by the front doors, breakfast is very good especially the sausages and bacon, eggs very fresh, we didnât have the Full English but it looked fabulous, we just had eggs and baconâŠ. Menu was very good, great selection, I had the curry and my partner had the fish & chips on the first night both were very enjoyable, on the Sunday we had the Sunday lunch âRoasts, one Beef and one Pork, both very well cooked and presented 6 vegetables, Yorkshire and meat, plenty of gravy, apple sauce and other standard condimentsâŠ. All prices have increased lately, with the food and drinks all well within todayâs norms same as the nightly room ratesâŠ. All in all a well kept, and well run country pub with rooms, definitely recommend it, and we will be returning for the granddaughters school holidays and theatre...
Read moreI stayed here overnight while on a trip for work. The rooms are very comfortable, set off the side of the pub in a converted barn. They are very modern, the bathroom was clean and had a very nice shower. The room had all the usual facilities you'd expect to see. There was a hair dryer, but no iron. Tea, coffee, kettle and biscuits were offered next to the bed which was was comfortable although what the pub does not tell you, is that there is a church across the way which rings it's bells every hour, on the hour and once every 15 minutes! I did wonder why the supplied ear plugs in the bathroom...|I don't sleep much when away with work anyway, but it did impact whatever little sleep I did manage to get. It's fine for one night, but any more would be uncomfortable due to the church bells I'd imagine!|The breakfast was tasty, I had the full English vegetarian option, but cereals were offered beforehand and the breakfast came with toast, coffee and juice.|Sadly the dinner options at the pub did not offer much for vegetarians which is disappointing and I didn't manage to eat anything except a stick toffee pudding and custard - probably why I ate so much at breakfast the next day!|Overall the bed was comfy and the breakfast was good but the church bells do affect the rating I'd give The Swan Inn.|I didn't drive for this trip, but the parking is vast and free which is always a bonus and right...
