We went in here on 10/08/24 for breakfast and it was truly amazing, from the second you walk in it smells amazing from the fresh cooked breakfast and the home made breads and pastries which you can but to takeaway. We had a full English breakfast and avocado Benedict which were both out of this word, we had fresh orange and earl grey tea which accompanied the food perfect. We waited around 20 minutes for the food but this tells you that it’s cooked fresh and when it came you could tell the quality of their produce. The young girls working in there are so polite and attentive which goes a long way. We also bought some of their amazing cakes and their bread is to die for especially their fresh Cooked ciabatta bread. Keep up the good work and you will see us again soon

A friendly greeting on arrival and we were shown to our table and orders taken. Whilst orders were being prepared we had a browse around the cafe at other produce you can buy to take away if you wish We ordered a baked potato with cheese savoury and a cheese scone and two hot drinks. The baked potato was filling and very tasty and the cheese scone was huge and came with butter a small ramekin of cheese cubes and tomato chutney and also very filling. We ordered some rye bread to take away and two strawberry tarts for two friends who absolutely loved them. A little out the way but worth the journey.

In the past, It may have received awards and accolades for its cakes and pastries, but of late it wouldn't merit any for its customer services or lack of it, most certainly as one female member of staff is concerned. What can only be seen as utter disrespect and total rudeness, with regards to the manner in which she has treated both my wife and I, over the past weeks. For some unknown, to us, but blatantly obvious reason to her, by her actions, has on four separate occasions over four weeks,.purposefully taken to not honour a reserved table booking request, which on this last occasion , the reservation was taken by her. On a previous occasion she said she thought the couple she let use the table would have left, that was after two hours? Last week after again she let the reserved table go, we were offered another table as long as we didn't stay too long? Not two hours then? On this last occasion, we walked in to see this member of staff serving at the table we reserved, looking up blankly at us, we just walked out, never to return. In old parlance we are regulars, loyal customers who have been going there for years. Even after Lockdown we made a concerted effort to support them, seeing other businesses fold, through lack of customers. In the past, we never reserved a table but was told it was much easier for them if we did, so we did. It appears others can reserve tables as is but for this member of staff we obviously, for some reason or other, don't qualify? Needless to say, we will find an alternative eatery to make our weekly visits to, one without a rude and disrespectful member of staff. In closing and in balance all the other staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Lorraine and Paul amongst others. There's always one?!🤔 Good luck to the New owners, with her attitude you are certainly...

Not sure what's happened in here having been so many times before but staff attitude this morning was nothing short of horrendous. Started with the rude server who took our order high ponytail dark hair inability to smile. Waited over half an hour for order we were brought over some bread when we asked for a bun so I politely asked for it to be changed you'd think I'd just asked for my food for free (this was another server). Also asked the second server for some brown sauce and butter brought the bread bun and red sauce. So asked server number 3 for some brown to which she pulled a few sachets from her front pinny pocket, not sure how long they had been in there.

As a business relationship manager my role is to support businesses increase profit margins and grow. My advice to you would be, invest in some customer service training for your staff.

Food was awful too just a...

My husband and I regularly come here for breakfasts and lunches and the service is always fantastic however this morning the customer service was absolutely disgraceful. One of your staff, (young woman, brown hair in ponytail and quite short in height) behaved appallingly towards us, so much so, that we don’t think we want to dine here again. She was miserable, rude and her attitude was shocking, so much so that we didn’t want to ask for anything else and when she got us the incorrect cakes, we didn’t tell her because of her behaviour. We were really shocked and taken aback by this behaviour and left feeling quite low actually and it really put a downer on our morning. I suffer with anxiety and coming here is always a nice little treat for me but I feel I will struggle to...
