Average food, questionable portions, incorrect item, didn't respond to me when I emailed - which was within 20 minutes of delivery, 4 days ago. King Prawn Puree - not even a child's portion (see pic) and burnt chapati. Seekh Kebab - good size, but dry & lacking taste. Aloo Gobi - very little taste Chicken Korma - ok. Some dry, chewy pieces of chicken. Vegetable Biryani - asked for Korai curry, instead of vegetable. Got the basic 'vegetable' with 2 pieces of potato, a few pieces of sweetcorn and 3 pieces of cabbage. Curry itself was of a very poor quality in taste. Tasted like they'd just made it with bog standard curry powder, instead of from scratch with spices. Not recommended.

Used this place for 10 years and recommended many people in the past.Taj provided a fantastic banquet for my partners 40th birthday.for 40 people and then a further banquet night for twenty. This was our go to place once a week on top of this. I place an order from there tonight and it arrives 25mins late, cold and burnt. I speak over the phone but they do not care and then the guy hangs up on me.. Well you have guessed it, bye bye no more business from me. I will spread the word and this restaurant will now be avoided from this point on.

We were let down by a restaurant we had booked at and it was late, we called TajMahal to see if we’re still serving food which they said yes come down, The Food was Amazing , The staff were so friendly , definitely Recommend . We ordered so much food and they boxed up everything we didn’t eat so we could Take it home .

On the 15th February, My father and I decided to venture out for a celebratory curry having won my first game of hockey this year. As we began to search for a local Indian Restaurant, we stumbled upon the TajMahal Restaurant which had decent reviews.

As we entered, we were welcomed by a very smiley gentleman behind the bar, and were promptly shown to our table by the lovely waitress. We were then asked for drinks orders, and asked if we would like popadoms! The popadoms were delicious, and the Chutney to accompany the popadoms was sublime!

Midway through eating afore mentioned popadoms, The waitress came over and took our starters and mains order.

We both opted for the Mixed Kebab, and i would highly recommend as they were truly scrumptious. The Mixed Kebab came with 3 meats, Lamb, chicken, a kebab and Onion Bhajis, all were cooked perfectly.

About 5 minutes later, the waitress came over and asked if we were ready for our mains, we asked if we could wait a little bit longer, and they were more than happy to accomodate.

Our mains came out, i had a Lamb Madras and my father had a Chicken Madras, these were beautiful, albeit very hot! - Dad said “They were a true Madras”. We also had Sag Aloo, Chana Masala and Bombay Potato - these weren’t very warm, but we put that down to waiting between Starters and Mains.

All in all, i would highly recommend and will definitely be...

So me and my friend decided to go out for a curry on a Saturday night. We were discussing for a good 15 minutes on where we should eat. I personally didn't want to go to an average restaurant so we ended up looking at restaurants for the best reviews to satisfy our craving. In the end we decided to go to the Tajmahal which is roughly 20 minutes away from where we were. We got to the restaurant and we were instantly greeted by a staff member. We were able to choose where we wanted to sit which was great. The overall experience for me and my friend was 10/10 honestly. Not only was the food amazing and flavourful, but the friendly staff that were attentive throughout our stay was remarkable. I must point out how great the spices and the quality of the dishes were. The meat dishes we had were so succulent and a great balance throughout the spices and sauce. We were so happy with our first visit and we will definitely be visiting again sometime soon. Thank you for an...

Been driving past the 'open' neon sign on the A1 for nearly 4 years and I thought it was about time I went in! Ordered a take out as I dont live nearby. The guy on the phone was lovely and easy going....good start! The food was ready at the time I got there, and he even gave me a couple of choccy mints and a small beer (for when I got home of course!). I ordered mixed pickles and poppadoms, a chicken mishti, chicken passanda, pilau rice and a peshwari naan. Everything was so tasty, as good as any other indian I have had, but with great service and price! The mishti especially is wonderful, thick and flavourful with a touch of spice and soft chunks of sweet potato omg yum. All I'd change is that I'm going to try mixing up the pickles next time as 1 of the 3 is mainly onions, which I'm not a great fan of, but obviously not the restaurant's fault! Definitely returning for more curry adventures soon....
