Ordered takeaway having had a good one a few months ago. Welcome and service great, decent pint of Cobra while waiting. Whether the chef has changed or it was just an off day I don’t know, but as the pictures show, my main of Chicken Naga (loved it the last time) looked nothing like it used to. I thought the container felt quite light - it was less than half full and I had to decant over 50ml of oil just standing on the top. There were 8 pieces of chicken which had been halved from the original size cubes that get cooked and served in every curry house. So four pieces of chicken, no naga-style sauce just onions. Dreadful. Aloo Gobi was minuscule as well. 3 pieces of potato and 2 pieces of cauliflower. And why any curry house still charges for chutneys with popadoms for takeaway is beyond me. Take a leaf out of others in the area and chuck in a couple of popadoms and a couple of dips - will cost less than 5p and will bring about repeat custom, so long as the food quality and value for money is there. Sadly, I found neither and so won’t return. Shame.

Mixed all our food(lamb with vegetarian potato and rice with chicken) when asked for a doggy bag. Staff (I think he's the manager) wasn't smiling and kept saying to the other customer that "they were busy"...at least give us a bit of smile? My hubby gave him a "tip" for his service but didn't even bother to thank him.

I wish I lived locally so I could go here more often! Everything was exceptional, and the price was surprisingly cheap! If you want something mild but sweet creamy they have you covered; the same if you want something incredibly fiery but flavoursome or just somewhere in between. Cannot fault it

Absolutely awesome team and restaurant. We were on a train back to London from Cornwall that didn't have any food on it. We called Tale of Spice, because they are the highest-rated takeaway in Pewsey (missed the cutoff for ordering any food to previous stations). Tale of Spice really nailed it and delivered us a DELICIOUS FEAST straight through the train window as we passed through the platform. I only wish I had the opportunity to be in Pewsey more often so that I could eat there more frequently. Sending lots of love to the whole gang who made our on-board meal so enjoyable (and saved us from a seriously hangry trip back to...

So I was left outside waiting for a taxi and these guys were very helpful they offered to give me a lift to Newbury and let me charge my phone in their restaurant as I had missed the last train and had to wait 40 mins for my taxi. While I was waiting I decided to order some food. I went for the duck madras and a cheesy garlic naan with lemon rice. It was absolutely outstanding... They accommodated me and my luggage nicely and were extremely polite and friendly throughout. 5...
