Buyagift Afternoon Tea Experience Don't be fooled by the inconspicuous exterior of this quaint little tea shop. If you are looking for a different kind of afternoon tea experience, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You will feel like going to your friend's for tea, rather than a shop. Interior: the shop is equipped with lots of decorations which give this place a homely feel. Little teapots and saucers are used to give the surroundings some warmth, which sets the Teapot Tea Shop apart from all the big chains that offer afternoon tea. Service: We arrived at the venue and we were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our seats which had been reserved for our afternoon tea. She explained that the afternoon tea comes with 2 hot beverages of your choice and even took the time to give us some recommendations, as they offered some unusual tea choices (highly recommend the Clean 'n Green tea). Whilst we were there, the cafe quickly filled up and was running at full capacity for most part of our visit. Despite so many customers, the service was prompt, friendly and efficient (even with a bunch of school kids coming in). We felt well looked after and were checked in on regularly. Food: the best part was when the food arrived. We were blown away by copious amount of food that we received. A clear 10/10 for taste, presentation and quantity of food. The sandwiches were freshly made and offered a selection of salmon & cucumber, egg salad, chutney & cheese, ham and Camembert. A second two-tiered tray was brought to our table with 2 massive scones and a variety of homemade cakes. When the owners realised that we wouldn't be able to finish everything. they offered to pack up the cakes so we can enjoy them at home. There was a bit of everything: coffee, lemon, blueberry and banana cake - d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s! On our way out, we noticed a lovely aroma. When we peeked into the kitchen, we saw that the next batch of cakes was being baked and we knew, we will definitely come here again.

The Tea Pot Tea Shop in Cookham High Street is, potentially, the stuff of dreams. The initial welcome was friendly and the decor with signature tea pots was appealing. And to be fair we enjoyed perfectly good cups of tea and coffee, and shared a reasonably nice slice of cake in their sunny garden. But where were the freshly-made sandwiches or warm scones with cream and jam? Interesting biscuits or cookies. Maybe there were some but we either didn't see them on the menu or were'n't offered them. And shouldn't more be made of the garden? Beyond the paved area we say in there's a gate marked 'Private' leadind to a larger, greener garden. Maybe it belongs to someone other than the Teapot Tea Shop, bit it would be great if open in the summer.

Wonderful afternoon tea. Probably the best for quality I've ever had! So fresh and moreish. Going back today for more! I did go back for more, but not such a good experience. The food was as good as ever but we (4 ladies) were sat by the back door on a cold day. Staff went in and out constantly and often left the door ajar. Not lovely to have them in and out and no concern for us getting cold..I had recommended this place to my 3 friends and now none want to return. What a shame.

Really disappointing experience here. The service was chaotic and so slow. Food was barely edible. I ordered scrambled egg on toast and the egg looked like it had been in a microwave for the entire time we had been waiting for our food. There was so seasoning. I ate the toast and the one (!) slice of bacon they charged me £1.80 for. We ordered beans on toast for my two year old nephew and the beans were like lava, even though we asked them to either not heat them so much or leave them to cool a while. We also asked for some warm milk for him and this arrived hotter than the coffees we ordered. We had hoped to order cake, but to be honest we didn't have another hour to waste. We wanted to order more drinks but the staff seemed to vanish. We won't be back, we left hungry and thirsty and much lighter in the pocket given the prices here. There are much better cafes in the village, I'd give this...
