I really liked this place. Popped in to get drinks whilst we were at the beach across the road and instantly was taken in by the charm. In my head, if I was to own a place by the beach, this is exactly what I’d want. The staff were really nice and friendly, which could be difficult putting up with beach tourists all day. The drinks and additional huge ice creams were really tasty. But I loved the decor. Anywhere that has a disco ball is pretty dope in my opinion. Plenty of seats, upstairs and down. I’d love to come back and spend an evening here and may do so before we go back home. For reference, there’s a pay and display car park near that we used for the day. Just a great experience.

You know when you've had a splendid walk along the Cornish coast and you're umming and ahing whether to have a lukewarm cup of disappointing coffee or save your pennies and head home. Well this is a place that is definetly worth your hard earned cash. The thick bacon and ridiculously yellow egg Cornish ciabbatta (£6)was out of this world and the coffee (with middle class oat milk) was delicious. To cap it all, the view from the upstairs restaurant was pretty decent all the way across to Looe Island. Helpful and accommodating staff capped it all off. We shall return.

Had a fantastic meal here yesterday, visiting from Hertfordshire, we came in for my partners Birthday and was highly impressed with food, service and location. We were served by both Rachel and Sharon, who were very friendly and welcoming, and couldn’t have done any more for us. Food was very well presented and super delicious. Lovely experience and a shame we don’t live closer!

I have stopped here many times over many years, but all I can say is today was my worst ever customer experience anywhere ever!

Yes there was a queue to order not an issue. Then when it got to me they decided to stop taking orders to catch up - again acceptable. We then ordered - at that point all previous drinks were already served. We sat at our table, after awhile our cakes arrived. My 'coffee & pecan' was actually plain sponge and plain buttercream with a layer like caramel and pecans. My friend asked for bakewell tart and was told it was coconut and jam tart and order it. She was given some chocolate fridge cake, when she said that wasn't what she ordered the staff member pointed to a bit of coconut on the top. When she said it is the one that looks like bakewell, but I was told it was coconut. She huffed, changed it, no apology and came back with the coconut and jam tart.

...we were still awaiting our hot drinks, bearing there were none in front of us in the queue. I went to see if they were waiting on the bar - no. Hot Drinks for others were being served, still none for us. I asked the waitress as she passed - in a very aggressive tone she said I will bring them when they are ready, can't you see we are busy! I explained when we ordered there were no drinks in front of our to do, she repeated she would bring them when ready.

After awhile I went up to the bar and 2 drinks, identical to our order were sitting behind the bar - I asked if I could take them and was told they weren't ours. I explained a lot of hot drinks after ours were ordered had already been served. Again told we would get them when ready.

Eventually, the guy making the drinks brought over 2 takeaway cups over to us - I said can we have cups (everyone else had drinks in china) - he said, looking very aggressively, well I would like you to leave!!

The most appalling customer service - I will not...

Have been on holiday in Seaton this week and The Beach House is right alongside where we are staying. Beautiful looking place, lovely decorated and the ice creams have been delicious. Went for dinner in the evening, arrived staff very friendly, waitress was very friendly and all ok until on collecting our plates they asked how the meal was. Everyone’s was lovely which we stated, apart from my son who had the special carbonara. It was tasteless and very watery. We made no fuss just stated it wasn’t very nice and wouldn’t require the rest in a takeaway box. Offered a free desert which was a lovely token and the waitress seemed ok about it all. The deserts came out by another young gentlemen who barely spoke the orders, placed in front but no spoons. Did not come back with any, waiting a few minutes to ask for spoons delivered by another member of the team. On requesting the bill friendly enough but got given the bill and no one returned to take payment. Kids had enough of waiting after 10 minutes so I left my partner at this point, another table asked for their bill and they came to the table with a machine. In the end my partner gave up and went to the counter to pay. Just came across or our perception of it was due to the fact we commented on a dislike of a meal. Our waitress also never returned. Shame experience to leave upon as up to then we’d had a lovely time with...

Very disappointing visit on Thursday afternoon. We (husband daughter and 4 year old Grandson) turned up at about 3.45 unaware that they close at 4pm, went in to order hot drinks and cake, only to be told by a staff member that they close at 4 and when asked if we could still order, they said we had a couple of minutes to eat our cake etc. No consideration for the fact that it would have been impossible to do so with a young child, we just had one hot chocolate one ice cream and a very stale cherry rock cake which came to over £7!!! Mostly empty and staff disinterested when we changed our order. Very little choice of cakes (expensive for how small they are) and atmosphere unfriendly Will not be coming back. Also on the way out, the narrow exit area was blocked by a couple of signs making it impossible for me to manoeuvre my wheelchair out of the door. My husband had to move them out of the way as the staff stood by watching and not...
