Booked for Afternoon Tea with a friend, it was beautifully presented, on a lovely bone china set. There where 5 different types of sandwiches on two different breads. The scones were light and fresh, with cream and jam served in tiny cup & saucers. There was a fresh fruit tartlet, lemon & blue berry cake slice, slice of victoria sponge and a hand iced cup cake. All lovely fresh made and baked. Plus top up for tea pot! The tearoom was very busy and we where made welcome and not rushed. Seems very popular with the villagers always a good sign! With people coming and going all the time. Also a group of ladies had also arranged to meet up as well this afternoon. Only been serving hot food for 7 days - give them a chance!! It's a beautiful setting decorated in vintage shabby chic, very Cath Kidston. Nana herself is incredibly friendly and welcoming despite being rushed off her feet. She was very honest and explained there would be a little wait for food. She is in the process of employing another member of staff which will help when it's busy. The food itself was delicious and the tea was lovely and served in beautiful cups and saucer.
