Wasnt welcome here at all! Didnt end up ordering anything due to staff members attitude! We are a family of 4 with a small dog. After reading the website and reviews we arrived at around 5.30pm hoping to have a meal. Inside there was no one having food that we could see so we waited at the bar area to order. A young blonde girl came in and was very rude in telling us they were not taking any more food orders unless booked prior. There was nothing about the need to book on their website/reviews so we raised this and she said they’d update the page. Her attitude was disgusting towards us and was very unprofessional she didnt ask us if we’d like to come back later/still have drinks or even apologise! She looked scruffy and was running to the shop to buy things so the “cooked” meals are likely to be something frozen and mass produced rather than fresh food! I had read elsewhere that certain places in Cornwall do not like “outsiders” and I didnt believe this until today! Clearly didnt want to serve us and could barely speak to us! If you arent staying on their site or are on holiday from elsewhere...

Really disappointing. Decor is reminiscent of a 90's working men's club and in a county of fresh, local produce it's a real shame to find such bland, tasteless food. I'm not overly fussy but I couldn't eat my seafood stew. Very uninspiring kids menu - chicken nuggets, pizza, burger, fish fingers... although I'll give them points for offering a kids salad option. My Son went for tomato pasta with cheese and even that was somehow horrible. Our side orders of garlic bread and sweet potato fries were clearly straight out of the freezer. They had no local juices on offer, the apple juice was in a carton and from Ireland! I had a J2O. Service was also poor, we waited half an hour for someone to come and clear away our half eaten food but all the tables around us were served and we didn't even get checked on. In the end we got up and paid at the bar without ordering dessert. They did at least take my meal off the bill. This was the only bad meal we've had during our holiday in Cornwall. Avoid. There are many, many better options...

Very enjoyable visit to this pub/bar. We were pleasantly surprised by the range of what is on offer here. There a good beer garden and the back, and a very well stocked farm shop between the bar and the beer garden. The staff explained that sometimes people needed things when the village shop was closed, and therefore the farm shop is open as long as the bar it open. All of the veg and produce in the shop looked in top condition and extremely fresh. There are some nice real ales here at the bar, and we decided to book for dinner. My wife had the vegetarian thali and I had the whole fish - both were very good. As other reviews had noted, there is a large car park at the back, where overnight stays are possible for campervans, presumably by pre-arrangement (although we didn't do this ourselves). Good staff,...

We camped here last week in our caddy van, for FREE. Unfortunately we didn't realise that the pub was closed on a Monday, and this was the day we happened to arrive. But there was a sign up saying pub closed, campsite open. We bumped into the owner, and he was happy to show us where facilities were despite the pub being closed. They have a shower and toilet available to use, which was clean and tidy. Also a small farm shop available with some essential items - honesty box left in the shop. Chickens on site. There is also a SPAR shop over the road. This is a fantastic location, we drove to Tintagel tuesday morning and was only a 10minuet drive! You can even see the sea from the campsite. Quiet site, we slept really well. We would love to come back so that we can check the pub out. Will avoid coming on a Monday next time.

Had a brilliant time here the owners and staff are some of the kindest and most welcoming people I've met. The campsite was beautiful with views of the sea on well kept, flat land. The onsite shop has all you could need, this is a FREE campsite so we left a donation towards them filling our water drum as I can imagine people ask all the time and this could soon add up costs towards their generosity. We ate in the pub both nights we were going to have fish and chips from the chippy the second night but the kids easily twisted our minds due to the high quality and fresh meals cooked by the chef. * FREE campsite * Honesty shop * Gas supplies * Family friendly * Sea views * B&B * Bar * Beer garden * Breakfast * Lunch * Dinner * Independent

What an excellent FREE camp site and bar with excellent service and facilities. We could not have been made to feel more welcome here. 🤙 Finding vegan or plant based meals is not always the easiest however they not only totally got it but had some excellent choices for us and all with a lovely smile. The camping is offered as a part of the Park for Night or similar schemes where you can park for a low fee or free if you grab a drink or meal etc. There’s a new toilet & shower block and the pitches are just what was needed so we were very appreciative and will definitely be back again when in the area. Thank you.
