I stumbled upon this gem whilst out for a bank holiday bike ride with friends. We had hoped we might find a place to have a drink and snack on our route and we were not disappointed! Sat outside in the sunshine, we enjoyed a delicious brunch. We could not quite believe the wonderful menu that we found at The Blackbird Cafe. We’ll be back!

I think on the day we went the 4 young members of staff were having a bad day. When we arrived the only table available had dirty cups and plates on it. These remained on our table for our entire visit. Girls kept walking around from behind the counter to slam the front door whilst commenting loudly about having to do it. Chairs were flung and slammed under tables. Despite all this the coffee and cake...

This is a great local family run small cafe, very good selection of cakes and pastries, coffees are great. Breakfast and main meals are also served, their salads looked particularly nice.
