Booked for new year, firstly can I say the staff here are working there absolute hearts out I mean we have been here 3 days they are pretty much here the whole stay with us ❤️, first night new years eve went down for dinner the starters where amazing the main of fish and chips was nearly inedible, (overcooked) it wasn't my main but the wife's and she will never ever complain & unfortunately won't let me on her behalf, they normally would have the fire going which at Xmas time is nice ambience but I guess as the really mild weather this was the reason they where off, breakfast both mornings is OK and filled a hole portion sizes difference on both days was peculiar but we guessed 2 different chefs, room for the price we had the Dog House room number 4, a very nice size the finish of the bathroom could have been alot better and the blind in the bedroom, well all the slates had gone, possibly broken recently, the tele only had 2 channels night on but when it was mentioned in the morning was repaired straight away, overall a nice chilled out stay massive room/bed food over all OK just let down by the main course ( which we didn't eat even the chips where inedible, would we stay again yes we would, but the next time we are in Malham is August and at Beck Hall just up the road. Thanks to the staff who again have been great (not sure how there keeping going) 💙💙💙💙

We popped into this pub after we had been exploring Malham cove. It is a huge building in the village, you can't miss it. We parked directly opposite the. building on the road because there were spaces. We were greeted by a barman called Jack who was apologetic because he was on by himself and was serving 2 rooms, however this guy is amazing. He was welcoming, friendly, great with the kids and very attentive. He suggested a beautiful rhubarb cider with a small soda top and honestly it's the best thing I have drank in a long time. We sat out in the beer garden at the back of the pub it was lovely, we had no complaints at all and would happily go back again next time we are exploring the area. We only ordered drinks so can't comment on the food. ✨✨THANK YOU JACK - WE LOVED YOUR COMPANY✨✨

Very friendly staff and a lovely, cosy atmosphere with free Wi-fi and even a genuine wood fire in the fireplace! This inn is dog and hiker/walker friendly, and accepts Credit/Debit Card payments. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available, and the menu includes a children's section. We came in as a group of four and ordered only desserts and drinks after our long walk, including the ice cream, the scones, and the seasonal fruit crumble (which was plum and berry). The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff had no problems with getting all the details of our order correct (e.g. ice but no lemon, no ice and no lemon) even though it was fairly complex! We will definitely return again next time we come out this way!

We stayed for 2 nights the room was dated but very clean , it had really nice bedding and towels . Free parking but gets full . Breakfast was OK, with a small selection of continental and a choice of hot ,not the biggest portion but adequate. We did not eat here on an evening , people we spoke to felt it was OK. We found the staff very friendly although always busy , we drink cider and larger both nice also had a bottle or 2 of wine again OK. The main reason for coming here is for the walking, which puts this in a 10/10 location . The only negative and this is from a non dog friendly people was the wet dog smell we could smell on arrival, but it either wore off or we got used to it . Great place we will return .
