My name is Karen and I am activities and wellbeing lead at ladyville lodge care home in north ockendon

We take a group of residents out once a week and when the weather isn't so great for outdoor activities we like to have A pub lunch

We have visited several local pubs and restaurants on the last few years But our favourite is the dog and partridge We have been so well looked after and have visited quite a few times in recent months

The team members warmly greeted us and shown to our seats the table was large and we'll set out to accommodate wheelchair users and those on frames all level and accessible to us all

The whole team make sure we are all comfy and happy and they are VERY Accommodating my residents don't have big appetites and struggle to eat full size meals and hate leaving food (they're from that generation) So we're happy with the pensioners special menu meals

The food weve ordered is ALWAYS very good well cooked and presented quality ingredients and they offer ample choice and portions

They were happy enough to take cash (as I have to pay for each meal separately)

Every single member of staff weve encountered was friendly professional and polite

We will return and I'll be booking again to come back and see you all again very soon

Very poor service. Took family to ship for 35th wedding anniversary lunch. Over 1.5hrs for food. Ordered via the app as in other establishments this is often the easiest and quickest way of getting what you require. When food finally arrived starters and mains were all served at the same time, burger was over cooked, bun was crispy hard, chips bland and warm, peas missing from kids meal, Had to ask for cutlery twice was not delivered until all food had been delivered and was getting cold. No condiments provided. Ordered a drink with meal and did not receive it. Ordered drinks via the app had to wait best part of an hour and had to go to bar to ask where the drinks were. Had we nit already paid ahead of receiving food and drinks we would have left sooner. Spent over £200.00 for a lunch time experience that was a waste of time and money. Witnessed other customers being charged for food and drinks they did not have, customers also complaining about the lack of service being provided.

Went for Father’s Day - they had a set menu. £30pp for adults (3 course meal) and £14.50 for kids (also 3 course meal). I thought it was reasonably priced. Food took a long time to come out but that was expected given that it was Father’s Day. The starters were very tasty ! However the mains were a complete disaster. Me and my son had the turkey roast. The gravy was very salty. I suggest going forward they don’t pour it on for you but provide it in a separate utensil. As for my 2 year old son this gravy was way too salty and for me too to be honest. The Yorkshire puddings basically were so overcooked that they were crusty. The roast potatoes almost broke my tooth as they were rock hard! The mains were a complete disaster. I asked to speak to the manager who said he would do something on the bill. Of course the meal was already ruined but when we asked to pay the bill the manager had waived the entire amount which was surprisingly a lovely gesture I must say. Didn’t make up for the food. But great customer service as their fault was acknowledged. I understand the food menu is due to change soon so we can hope for...
