The Cecil Arms — Restaurant in England

OK, so it's Christmas Day. Lunchtime. Myself, my wife and my brother head to the cwcil for a drink. Go into Bar..it's packed. We're in there for a couple of minutes when a member of staff approaches us and tells us this is a private party and we need to leave by the back door. No poster saying private function, door to bar was unlocked. Just looked like a busy Christmas lunchtime in the pub. Now, obviously the Cecil has every right to hold a private function, but it.may well have been an idea to.put a sign up saying so and perhaps lock the door to make it obvious. Friendly pub offering freshly cooked bar food My lamb shank and chips was delicious and my husband enjoyed his lasagne The pub was warm and cosy on a dark wet October evening. There are local newspapers available Some parking spaces outside Large garden with swings and slides for children when weather is better. Lovely, little and quiet pub. Staff are excellent and they are very welcoming. Only took a star off for the uncomfortable tables in the beer garden. Had to swap seats because the benches were too small for me and my girlfriend. Other than that, I would highly recommend and I will definitely visit again if...
