I passed by The Cookie People en route to the North Lincolnshire Coffee Festival at Cafe Natura (a far better coffee shop). Seeing still open when I passed by later, I looked in. A mistake. Grim. Coffee shop? Bakery? Neither. A bakery serves excellent sourdough bread. A coffee shop specialty coffee. Ambience that of a canteen or motorway service station. Very noisy. An anomaly. Invest in an excellent Victoria Arduino espresso machine, to then cut corners with cheap poor quality coffee. Brazilian Love Affair from 200 Degrees (owned by Caffè Nero), 80% poor quality Brazilian Arabica bulked out with 20% poor quality Vietnamese Robusta. There is absolutely no excuse to source poor quality coffee when spoilt for choice with reputable roasteries. Service nonexistent. I sat for five ten minutes at a table. No one came to take an order or tell me to go to the counter. I was starting to get a headache. I walked out. - update - 200 Degrees Brazilian Love Affair is very poor quality coffee. Why invest in a quality espressso machine, to then buy poor quality coffee? Especially when spoilt for choice. I walked out because it was very noisy. A very unpleasant ambience. That and I had no wish to drink poor quality coffee.

just popped in for an iced latte as i haven't been in since it opened, milky bar and magic stars cookie dough was incredible, so was the coffee. greeted by an angel of a lady at the counter, so happy and lovely! and the gentleman who showed me to my seat was lovely as well, definitely recommend, messingham has needed a good coffee shop for years and they have achieved this!!

Amazing unique cookies! They also do cookie dough brownies, blondies, cookie pizzas, cookie slabs, dough cups etc etc. Andy and Toni are genuinely the best duo, the fact they can work together day in, day out and be married is amazing, not many can make that work lol. Such a great business that scunthorpe is very lucky to have!

FALSE ADVERTISING AT ITS FINEST! DON'T BUY INTO THE HYPE OF THIS PLACE!

Decided to give this place a go after it being hyped up so much on Instagram. I ended up being robbed in broad daylight!

I ordered the nutella doughcups for £16.50 just for only just x6 of them...

When they arrived and I took a bite into them, there was only a speck of nutella inside as you can see from the photos attached. They advertise the nutella doughbups to contain a generous amount of nutella on their website and Instagram, when in reality they have just cup the doughcup in half and have added extra nutella spread on the outside prior to taking a picture of their product. This is clearly false advertising!

When I dmed them on Instagram to explain the lack of nutella and quite frankly a stingy amount of nutella filling, my message was simply read and ignored. They clearly don't care about the quality of their products and service as my DM proves.

These guys are getting too big for their boots and have clearly been overhyped on Instagram by paid influencers. Don't even bother ordering or going to their shop, a waste of money and time. I would give these lot a 0 star...

First time at The Cookie People today. I was really looking forward to going and getting some of these cookies! But...The choice of cookies was rubbish, this could have been due to the time of day... Saturday at around 3pm. We only had 4 to choose from. They were overpriced in my opinion and i have to say I've had better from the supermarket. I'm disappointed to be honest.. but I will give them another go and try to go early morning. I've heard the croissants are...
