Disappointed with the menu selection, which consisted predominantly of chips with everything. My wife and I chose sirloin steaks to be grilled medium and medium rare. Sadly they arrived cooked well done and medium. The so called handcut chips were not at all attractive. The steaks themselves were very tender and would have been enjoyable had they been prepared correctly. Two other Dutch ladies were also disappointed with their choices. The variety of menu needs to be enhanced as not all customers wish to eat chips every night, and with the vast selection of food these days when pasta, rice, & noodles to mention but a few. The young lady serving was very good and deserves praise for the amount of work that got through, even making time to set my wife's mobile onto your WiFi connection. We therefore did not visit you the second night of our stay and ate at the George Hotel where there was a much wider choice of menu, admittedly slightly more expensive but worth it...

It was a beautiful sunny day and after a long walk beside the river The Crown was a very welcome sight. Such a quirky, genuine village pub. We were only planning on a couple of drinks, but the food looked so tasty we decided to order. We had hunters chicken and sirloin steak. Both dishes were really tasty and good sized portions. The beer, (Graingers Ale), and cider (Appleshed) were refreshing and we sat enjoying them and the atmosphere for a couple of hours. The locals were really friendly and chatted to us, offering advice on what to see on the area. We would definitely...

We were a 20 minute walk from the Crown Inn and decided to give it a try on seeing Google reviews. What a find! And on the doorstep of our local accommodation.
Lot's of choice for gluten free and vegan and the best steak and ale pie my partner has ever had. The food was just top notch. We loved it so much we went back the next day.
It was a great local pub, friendly and chatty staff, good selection of ales (Inc gluten free ones), and the prices were set perfectly. We just loved it there.
It was also really great to see it as a hub of the local community and with people chatting and being social, not on...
