We've visited in March on Mother's Day. It was one of the worst experiences in my entire life. The pictures were very misleading/they must have a very good photographer. Children's play area was falling apart and completely unsafe for both of our kids (2 and 9 year olds). Service was shocking! After queueing for around 20 minutes to get some coffees and ice creams we were told that the ice creams weren't sold there but in the shed on the other side of the path. We got the cofffees to the table and waited in the queue to get children their promised icecreams. Once they've started eating them we were told we couldn't pay for them there as they've had some issues but had to rejoin the 20 minute queue again. Once my partner paid his coffee was already cold and the ice cream has melted. We both got up to check on kids and left our belongings and coffees on the table and once we came back after about 2 minutes the coffees were gone. I've asked the lady and she said they were already empty and Ince I've pointed out they were half full she came and pretty much threw them at the table saying oh well they've only been on that tray for a bit. I've never ever experienced this sort of service/attitude in my life. We will not be returning and I'll be actively asking people not to go as it's a waste of...

Update. Called in today on doing the daffodil walk to give them a second chance it was busy on the walk but cafe was empty, I went in to order some drinks but changed my mind when I saw the lady swilling dirty pots in a bowl of dirty water again, there was no soap suds and just dirty grey water, this is unhygienic and disgusting I'm actually considering reporting you. After my original review I thought you may of taken this feedback and done something about it but obviously not, is your reply I'm not trying to ruin anyone busines just clean stuff properly!!!! We visited today after doing the Daffodil walk, there were no menus out on the tables and you had to queue to see what was on offer, this is a little awkward when you have a disabled old person and 5 dogs with you. Some menus on the table would be helpful! The staff were completely inexperienced and didn't know what they were doing. When we finally got in to order, you could see one of the girls washing up, the water was the dirtiest water I've seen, this put me off straight away. We ordered some scones which were dry and tasted stale, there was also a cup of tea missing from our order. We won't return here next time, we will go further down the road to the...

Went on The Farndale Daffodil Walk..which goes past The Daffy Cafe..would've been rude not to drop in!!😊😊 Lovely day so lots of people out and about...many of whom decided to stop for a bite to eat at the café. Most of the tables outside were occupied so we decided to eat indoors. We had plenty of time to decide whist waiting in the queue for food n drinks....it's a very popular place!😁😁 Decided on a bacon butty and a coffee and went and claimed our table. The indoor dining bit is a wonderfully cosy room with all sorts of stuff for sale on the shelves around the walls..from biscuits to incense sticks! The bacon butty was beautifully fried with just the right amount of crispiness!! Washed down with a welcome filter coffee and we were raring to go again! The staff working their socks off in the café were wonderfully friendly...the sort of place I'd love to work at( if I didn't live 40 odd...

After a 45-minute walk and taking pictures of the lovely surroundings, Daffy Caffy is in the perfect spot. It's in the middle of nowhere, has toilet, some food and drink and a beautiful garden. All shabby-chic and the atmosphere is very friendly. We had the Plouman lunch and s burger. It was very basic, but you don't come here for the food. The place is veryvfriendly for families with little kids and for pets.

Went on mother's day for the trail. Started off here, did the walk and then a walk back up the road to the local pub. Great day and weather. Cafe was extremely busy when we came back from the walk. Staff were great despite the numbers coming in. Ended up with bacon/sausage sandwich's all round whilst the younger members of the party loved the sand pit, swings and toys at the back of the garden.

Hidden gem. Great little place in the beautiful dales. we had afternoon tea in the gorgeous garden and watched the birds. Food no frills but special touches and yummy, service we couldn't ask for more from the host. Also super dog friendly.
