Although located on a caravan park the reviews looked ok and said it had a lovely view so as it was a lovely evening I thought I would give it a try, The place looked ok from outside and on going inside and checking out the menu which didn't have a lot of choices I saw something I fancied straight away, chicken thighs with lemon and Jasmin rice. The view is visible from the whole place so we originally picked a seat inside but although only half full it quite noisy so decided to take a seat outside. If you sit inside it's waitress service if sitting outside you order yourself from the bar. Paid went outside about 5 mins later waitress came over to say what I wanted wasn't available, so disappointedly I chose Lasagne. Service was slow took 3/4 hour to get our food. The Lasagne was awful see picture it was made with what looked like pulled pork and only had one layer of pasta so it was like eating mush. I was going to tell the waitress but she never came back to check on us or was around when we left. So I have to deduct 1 point for lack of service, 1 point for horrible food, 1 point for long wait. 1 point for noisy inside. Consequently for me the only good thing about this place is the view. Won't be going back and I don't recommend it.

We visited here while on holiday in the area and was recommended to try by a member of staff at the caravan site we were staying on, having been told about the gorgeous views and it was dog friendly(bonus for us!). On our first visit we both had the cider battered fish and chips and wow it was amazing! A really good sized portion and the batter on the fish was so crispy and tasty! Decided while we was there to book again for the next day (steak night) and this was also amazing and such a good deal! The steak was tender and cooked exactly how we asked for it. The views at this place just make it even more perfect. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them, they made us and our dog feel very welcome. I would highly recommend a visit here if your in the area.

We had a lovely visit to The Fat Badger at Pebble Bank Caravan Park. The restaurant is spotless with a calm, relaxed atmosphere, and the views are absolutely stunning — whether you choose to sit inside or outside, you can enjoy your breakfast while taking in the beautiful surroundings. All the staff we met were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which added to the experience. We ordered a large and a small full breakfast, and both were absolutely delicious. The toast was proper bakery bread — warm and nostalgic, just like my grandmother used to make. The Cumberland sausage was full of flavour, and everything tasted fresh and well-cooked. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing breakfast with a view — we’ll definitely be back!

We looked-up best places to eat a Sunday roast online locally and this place had respectable reviews. We didn’t book and turned up unannounced just before 17:00 on a November Sunday. The welcome was pleasant and they offered us a table with brilliant views, it was our loss that it was starting to get dark. We both decided on the Sunday Carvery as we had spied it on the way to our table. The Service was friendly and swift. The Carvery is a help yourself affair (other than the selection of joints - Turkey, Beef, Pork), which I especially liked as I had two Yorkshire Puddings - A commodity which is all too often strictly policed in other restaurants. The food was hot and plentiful. My wife commented that the gravy was getting rather low, which the cook overheard and without any provocation, immediately offered to bring a gravy boat over to our table - I nearly put him on my Christmas Card list! I often say to my wife when eating out that I wish that more establishments would add a few extra £’s to the cost of the meal, but use better quality ingredients. I feel this was entirely the case here as the Stuffing was full of sausage meat and not sawdust, the roast potatoes were beautifully crisp, the dauphinoise potatoes were absolutely stunning and the parsnips were cooked in honey. Two completely empty plates tell their own story. I find it near impossible to get a Sunday Roast (cooked for the masses) to rival the quality of one you would spend all day cooking at home, but this is as close as you’re going to get. Our experience...

We had dinner here on our first night, the menu was pretty pricey so was expecting a nice meal, there was 6 of us, everything arrived correctly but the lasagna was dried out and hard, the hunters chicken burger and other burger meals we ordered were deep fried and very oily, the kids meals I ordered were very oily too, £120.00 later & so not worth it!! Although the rattler beer, milkshakes were reasonable priced and were nice! The next morning we decided to go for breakfast there..worst thing ever, breakfast came out all wrong, veggie breakfast came out with black pudding (I clearly explained we are vegetarians) missing tomatoes, mushrooms!! When I complained they bought out a plate of various food all piled up on the plate! I wish I’d taken a photo of the food we didn’t eat, it was the whole lot, it was the worse breakfast I’ve ever received and I’ve travelled a lot, to Egypt, Turkey etc!

I complained (which I never do) the lady apologised, I wanted my money back, they said yes, I waited 25 mins and no one came to me with the £55.00 I’d paid for breakfast, I went to the til to be told I can’t have it, I demanded it, only to be told by the manager “oh whatever, I can’t be bothered, just give her her money back” I wasn’t happy. We never went back again the remaining 3 days we stayed! Sim up - very expensive for the food you get, food is very minimal, over cooked...
