Stayed in Room 2 for 2 nights - what a lovely experience! The host was not only welcoming, but also very helpful - couldn't do enough to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! Room 2 is on the main road and this a bit noisy during the day, but that road noise simmers down to absolute peace and quiet at night time - my sleep was restful and uninterrupted. The room is sunken - 2 steps down from the door - and has a sloping roof which gives the room a cosy, cottagey feel but doesn't actually make the room small. The room is quiet a good size and has more than enough space for 2 people. The double bed was on the firm side which I liked - especially after driving several hours during the day. There is a small kettle with tea, coffee and milk - though if you're after hot chocolate its best to bring your own. The en-suite is spacious with the shower cubicle easily big enough for 2 people - so if you're after a bit of romance - it's not going to be a problem. The rest of the bathroom is well laid out - the bit I liked most was the buttersoft lino on the floor - much nicer than cold, slippery tiles. The breakfast was lovely - made to order by the host. She also serves a superb plum jam which is not too sweet or too sour - just in that goldilocks spot which makes things moreish. Only downside is that there was no internet - wifi signal is strong but - as explained by the room info booklet - the area the B&B is situated in suffers from poor Internet service thus can hardly blame them for that. The town of Summerbridge is rather lovely and I can happily recommend this establishment to...

The room is comfortably, onsuite with generous parking. I am a Cancer patient so I feel the cold somewhat more than others and in that respect I would have preferred it a tad warmer. Notwithstanding that Judith (the proprietor) has a heart of gold and nothing is too much trouble. The included breakfasts are wide ranging from cereal to full English with extra toast (if required). Upon leaving Judith handed us 2 homemade scones for the journey. A very positive and...
