We visited The Flock Inn Tearoom while hiking in the Lake District to grab some brunch. The tearoom was such a gem to find - super friendly service, the cheese and ham toasties we got were absolutely delicious, the coffee was great and the cakes were also very tasty (we tried the millionaires shortcake and the paradise slice - would absolutely recommend both) To top off the whole experience, we had a stunning view sat outside; amongst the hills and fields we watched the ducks, sheep and various birds playing around. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely be returning here. A must-visit for anyone hiking through Rothwaite. Thank you Flock Inn Tearoom! 🐑

Visited here last week on a lovely sunny morning as we were staying in nearby Manesty. What a lovely place. The food and hospitality were just great. I’d read the reviews and opted to try the Herdwick pasty whilst my brother who I was travelling with had a ham sandwich which came with a beautiful side salad etc. we sat in the garden, fab views. Even the Robins were so friendly coming right up to us. We parked in the nearby National Trust car park for free by swiping our cards, so handy. You shouldn’t be disappointed calling into here. Will definitely be calling again when next in Borrowdale.

What a beautiful little tea room! A really short walk from the national trust car park with plenty of outdoor seating (some under cover) overlooking fields of sheep and lambs. The service was very friendly with lattes, teas and coffees well made and a delicious slice of coffee and walnut cake to accompany a lamb pasty. Highly recommend this lovely little spot, especially if you're walking towards Millican Dalton's cave or in the opposite direction to Black Moss Pot. It is a popular spot but a perfect end to a walk or swim nearby!

A absolutely cracking spot, with great food, served quickly and at a fair price. We called in twice last week , as we were so impressed. The soups are original, tasty and certainly home made. The mushroom soup was superb, and so different from the main stream stuff.

There is indoor seating, along with a outdoor area and a veranda facing down Borrowdale, towards Castle Crag. I could have sat there all afternoon in the sun. Dogs are allowed in this area.

Plenty of local lamb product, including lamb pasties on the menu.

Its a short walk from the National Trust Rosthwaite Car Park or the local village hall parking, both or which are chargeable. it could easily be added to a walk in Borrowdale .
