The Friendly Spirit — Restaurant in England

Ok where to start the outside looked really nice and clean as we walked down from the car park. We walked inside and a nice man directed us to the lounge area. Once in the lady behind the bar booked me in and told me right we are not a hotel we are a inn so service throughout the night wasn’t possible as they shut the pub down completely. I though that’s fine she also told me not to expect too much as they were quite busy and they had stopped serving food I got there at 8:45pm. She didn’t show us to the room she took us half way up the car park and pointed to the room once In we had a look around and it wasn’t too bad nothing Like the photos at all we had tiny windows showing Is the car park. The bathroom was disgusting mold everywhere rubbish in the bin and the floor hadn’t been cleaned in months it had stains all over it. There was cobwebs everywhere and loads of spiders the floor hadn’t been cleaned at all. But hey they were busy remember !!! To busy to clean it’s ok they Only knew I was coming a week in advance as I booked on Monday we arrived on Friday note to anyone who stays here avoid the triple room it’s horrible I won’t...

A lovely pub and normally my go to for Sunday roast. Today I visited with my family who hadn't visited before and was rather disappointed by the whole experience. We had a 1 year old child with us, and seemed to have been forgotten about when it came to calling us up for our food. Tables who came in and sat after us went up before us, we ended up chasing 3 times before we were sent up. (I wouldn't say it was particularly busy either!) the food was lovely but cold. We spoke to someone at the bar when we ordered and asked if we would be able to have a small plate for the 1 year old, which seemed to be absolutely fine but when we asked at the carvery we were told we weren't allowed as we couldn't "share" food. A one year old child will not eat a whole roast, and I thought it was odd that we were expected to pay for a whole roast. One of our party was gf and this also felt like it was an issue. We also ordered a veggie roast to take away, and was told it would be 10 minutes. 35 minutes later we had to chase this again! Huge disappointment to be honest, and sad as we...

The Food was lovely. However this was a birthday meal for my grandpa who was sat without food for 15 minutes after we had all received ours. The two meals for the children . oh we ran out over lunch ... Erm we preordered so you should have sold fish that was already sold but to make it worse they bring out all the food minus said grandfather's meal then let us know that out children would have to wait another 10 minutes. Should have informed us at the start when they started cooking and realised Oh we have no fish left... The attitude of the manager/owner was shocking couldn't take an order at the bar made me feel like I was in the wrong. Was rude and passive aggressive when I asked for cheese. I get that it's a beef burger that's why I asked if it would be possible to get some... I wanted to complain on day but I felt if I approached then I would be wrong.
