Since the reopening of hospitality, I've visited The Greyhound for food a number of times. Food and service aside for a minute, how Tara & Danny have kept on top of legislation to stay COVID compliant needs a mention of its own, from the heated outdoor/covered areas to the well spaced and descreatly placed screens and sanitising stations, they've dealt with the changes and adapted without comprimising their incredible/personal service.
Drink You can tell Tara is a fan of a Gin, the selection is quite impressive, quite a few of which I've never seen anf will make a point of trying. My 'Go To' pint is a Birra Moretti served on draft here but there's quite a few real ales if you're not a fan of a 'Euro Fizz.
Food Country pub dinning at its best under the watchful eye of head chef Danny, it took me a while to bring myself to order anything but the incredible burger they offer with it being quite adictive but was quite recently blown away by the Fillet Steak with Pepper Sauce so I'm going to be torn on my next visit. Looking for something lighter? I can also recommend their sandwich selection, perfect for a lunch visit too...
Been meaning to write this review for a while, now I have it's reminded me of how much I like it there and will need to...

Firstly you could taste the broccoli and then the cheese ,followed by the fresh black pepper. The steak was fresh .thick and just melted in my mouth .I have never had a steak like it. The syrup sponge was soft, fluffy and not stodgy. You could taste the egg, vanilla and home made custard. WOW . when the proprietor found out we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, she brought out a dish of home made fudge and marshmallow with the words happy anniversary in chocolate She went out the extra mile to ensure we had an enjoyable evening . I have never experienced such service before.the food is equal to that of 4:star hotel. Check out the toilets too you will be amazed as you think your in a hotel. Thank you for a fantastic evening. The foods not cheap but its worth every penny as the quality is nothing short than impeccable . I strongly reccomend the grayhound Inn for an unhurried night out. You feel like a valued customer. The couple who run it are genuine and clearly enjoy what...

Having managed to blend a really stunning offering of quality, super tasty and great value food with a gastropub service and stunning plates. Now however the venue is far more akin to a standard village pub, which does a brilliant job of catering to hungry families and those looking for a decent meal. No faults on the usual pub-grub offerings though a bit of a sad serving of an end of link beef fillet and packet-mustard on the side means this isn't quite up to the standard of yesteryears. Stunning wine list however with a delight to find Cab-Sav by the glass and a proper choice of white wine & sparkling available too. Definitely still on my list of places to go again and will very much look forward to the times I do, though gammon / fish pie / prawn cocktail advised...
