Here again to share my experience, because my dad said he couldn't find my review, so they obviously deleted it, which further shows you what kind of establishment they are. We walked in at 2:50, asked if they were doing food. The young barmaid seemed very put out and annoyed by our presence and said, "only for another ten minutes". Her whole tone and demeanour was off. We glanced at the menu, went to order, and she snapped, "you need a table number". I was starving at this point, so we obliged. Later, she came outside to clear glasses and had a loud barmy with two male customers she obviously knew, swearing back at one of them loudly as she went back in for all to here. Like, park your drama, you're at work! Utterly disgraceful. Clearly a place that doesn't take too kindly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a truly fabulous āfindā. Unspoilt, cosy and with such a friendly and welcoming team.
Hubby, myself and our elderly Westie popped in for lunch. We were met by a really lovely young lady who couldnāt do enough to make us feel at home, and what a great sense of humour she had too. The roaring fire was a welcome treat on a sunny but cold day. We toasted our toes whilst enjoying pink gin, a Butcombe Beer and home made harissa lamb burgers. The menu is excellent and exceptional value. Bailey was treated to two sausages whilst he enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The Harp Inn is totally unspoilt, no pounding music or flashing neon lighting, itās perfect for conversation and enjoying the amazing views and history. The team and Inn are fully dog friendly which is a bonus. First visit for us, but it wonāt be...
