Bit of a joke tbh. Looked forward to this as all week as hyped about their perfect parmos. Went in and ordered our food ( 4 parmos ). Asked about one to takeaway in a box for a child who could attend the party. Told to pay upfront and request when to get it so its still warm, makes sense. We'll food came out including the one in the takeaway box. When asked about what's happening a blonde girl with all the answers says we've been told wrong and it can't be kept warm so more ornless lump it or leave it. Snotty brat. The parmos are nothing but abysmally that we ate and left more than 60% of it all. Way way too salty and if I can suggest... go to bisons in norton or even the stables in wynyard!!! So much better. We did get asked if we would like some sauces, when we asked for some chilli the brat counted the table and said oh your not 8 people only 6... you have to get up and go to the bar and order your own sauce and wait for it. Shambolic service and needs teaching personal skills. Also tell the chef salt isn't a main product of parmos. Total waste of 80quid and can promise you don't believe the hype it's...
Read moreFood is gorgeous but the service massively lets it down. Been twice now and it's been same both times. First time we booked a party of 12 and put us on two tables. Told us each table has to order and pay at once (which got be confusing as we were oaying for the kids who were at other table) then food came 20 minutes apart.
Second time Booked a table of 6. Paid for 4 meals and my husband behind me paid for 2 meals straight after, same table. Food came 25 minutes apart. We were finished eating when their food came and left while they were still eating. We were told cos the meals were booked with 3 minutes between, that's why the food came late. When I asked "it was for the same table, he was next in the queue, does a 3 minute gap justify a 25 minute wait?". I was stared at blankly by the staff, no apology. Gorgeous food, shame about the till system...
Read moreMy fiancè and I decided to go to the merlin for food one night as we live really close by but had never been. We went on the off-chance and did not book, when we got there, there was no available tables so we bought a drink and waited outside at the picnic tables. As soon as a table became free a staff member came and informed us and took us through. We ordered our food and was informed that there would be a wait but we didn't mind at all.
I liked that when ordering a drink at the bar, they would put it on your table number so you didn't have to pay at the bar, it just sped the process up. The food was delicious and all staff members were very friendly and welcoming. It had a nice atmosphere and I...
