Me and my girlfriend intended on visiting the Owington Farm for a couple of drinks and to get an hour of work in on our laptop as we both work remotely. We ordered a drink, sat down, plugged our laptops into the plug socket and the young bar man says "you have to put £1 in the charity box if you want to use the electricity". Initially we laughed as we thought it was a joke, which soon turned out that it wasn't. We told him that we didn't have any money, so we weren't able to work from there. As we both had zero charge on our laptops we decided to leave after our drink. Our drinks came to £10+ and had we stayed, we would have ordered food and more drinks, which couldve seen us exend in excess of £50 at least. There was only us in the restaurant, I would've thought they would have worked harder for custom, especially within the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to the owington farm pub tonight with my family, we went to order the food and was asked if we had any food allergies and we informed them that there was a meat allergy. So basically there couldn't cater for me. I just feel really disheartened that we as family had to leave because I couldn't eat anything there. I've eaten here in the past on several occasions and never been told this before. Obviously we won't be returning unfortunately. So just wanted to make others aware, so you don't waste your...

We ordered on the app (can't use gift card on the app) it took 20mins for drinks which we only got after going to the bar to ask for them. Food took 30mins which would be alright if the food was hot and not slightly warm from heat lamps. I had "Pork belly and ribs", pork belly was actually burnt bacon, the ribs were anemic with some barbecue sauce on top. Again, the onion rings were anemic. The goodfella burger was dry and sloppy at the same time, with very crispy edges. Again, it was cold. The best part of the meal was tomato sauce.
The presumed manager was more interested in socialising than tending to customers. The general feel of the place...
