Stopped off here with the family on the way back home following a week in The Lakes. Very welcoming landlord (Stuart I think) & warm & cosy atmosphere. Food was excellent & the portions were good size. Extremely good value. The pub was quite busy for a Thursday afternoon which was a good sign. Chips like my mum used to make with real potatoes!
