The food looked amazing, and the chips were really nice. The service and staff were very friendly and fantastic. However, now for the negative bit - parmos weren't the best, a bit soggy, and left an aftertaste. Staff were quick to apologise and offered us a refund as well. Great service. Hopefully, the food quality improves slightly, and we can return.

Very lovely affordable food, kids love the food and staff help me with my picky ones. Good atmosphere, homemade food, and brilliant service feels very homely and chilled. I try to bring family every month.

2 pints of Moretti, veggie wellington thing, chicken goujons (real chicken too, not processed) and onion rings for less than 30 quid. Staff were friendly too. Meals came out quick. Good little estate pub.

For the past six weeks I have been going to pubs trying their Sunday dinners as I am wanting to book a Christmas Dinner for a few people...my thinking was if they do a good Sunday Dinner then Christmas Dinner will be just as good.

The Mitre was one of the pubs I tried.....very poor. The meat was carved very thin - we only got 3 thin slices of chosen meat. For some reason, my son was offered a sausage with his meal - because he was a 'child' (bizarre). The vegetables were okay. The stuffing was cut into 1cm cubes - we were given two of these. Some of the roast potatoes were so small they should have been classed as wedges. One of them was black in the middle. In actual fact, they weren't really roast potatoes at all - more like boiled potatoes, with their skins on and then thrown into an oven.

The biggest disappointment was the yorkshire pudding. Although a reasonable size, they were literally black and burnt. My wife simply could not eat her yorkshire pudding and "roast potato" and when I complained I was told the "chef" would bring some more out. After about 5 mins (by which time the rest of the family had almost finished their meals), the "chef" arrived with 3 roast potatoes and an even blacker, stone cold, yorkshire pudding on a side plate. My wife actually said "this is completely burnt" and the reply was "that's normal because it's a gas oven"....

In summary, the overall customer service and pride in the cooking of the food, ensuring they get it right, was non-existant. I was not offered a refund of any kind - for £7 per head, this seems very much like a money-making exercise. They won't be getting my Xmas, or any other...

Dog friendly. Bar staff usually offer my dog a bowl of water. Plenty of car parking for free. Sunday lunch is nice. 12-3. Other meals are great, Italian chicken is my favourite. Traditional home cut and cooked chips are nice. Smaller portions menu and normal sized meals menu (big enough for a hungry person, or very filling for me). Prices for food are very reasonable. Drinks prices seem average for a pub. I think they have entertainment sometimes. There are some bits of the building itself which are a little tatty but it always seems clean. Small beer garden/ fenced off area of tables for nicer weather. Staff seem nice and friendly. Always had a relaxed time and...

Not much on the menu but the food was warm and nice I had a mixed grill which I destroyed as I had been at work all day and was hank marvin on the plus I had everyone's leftovers in a doggy bag so all good staff nice and could put up with my banter so I'd recommend to anyone who just wants a meal and none of that pretentious stuff served in an out out town establishment.. the wine was 14.50 a bottle so maybe as I had 2 bottles it set me up for the food but nevertheless I...
