Having read about this establishment I decided to give it a try. We were shown to a table that had not been cleaned properly, tomato ketchup stains on the table, so we asked to be moved. The head waitress did this reluctantly and passed a comment under her breath which we heard. It took over twenty minutes for a simple ceaser salad to arrive, the chicken was burnt and the bacon was gone the crispy state. I ordered a rump steak which was supposed to be medium and came out raw, someone can’t cook, and my wife opted for the venison, which was also undercooked. Deserts looked very similar to frozen items you would see in a cheap green king style pub. We complained and were spoken down to an evening out not pleasant at all. If you want to waste your...

When arriving at this pub it looks very quiet and a nice atmosphere. I got there at 9.45pm and ordered a drink my friend ordered a beer but they didn't have it I found the barman to be very short with my friend. Ww got our drinks and sat down about 5 to 10 minutes later the barman came to our table to say he would be closing early as the pub was quiet this made me feel like I had to rush my drink and felt uncomfortable being there. I don't know why he wouldn't say he is closing early before and allow us the choice if we would like to order drinks. When I got home I realized I had bites up my leg from where I sat on the sofa like chair. Overall I would never come here again. It was obvious we were not welcome and the environment did...

Went for Sunday roast which was lovely, well cooked, well presented and full of taste. Service was good too and the team were friendly. The only negative is I was asked to leave my payment card with them as we were sitting outside. While I appreciate they might have had previous with people not paying their bills, other people that arrived and ordered food outside didn't appear to have been asked to do the same. While I'm not sure why we were asked to do so over others, a person shouldn't be asked to leave their payment card out of sight. I should have raised it at the time and didn't which I'll take responsibility for, and just hope my card hasn't been cloned! I do plan on going back though as other than that it was...

Just been to the Oak and Saw for the wife's birthday lunch. Warm friendly welcome on arrival. Great food, went for the roast beef which was served with a huge Yorkshire pudding. They have a great selection of ales at the bar which is perfect for me. The staff were attentive throughout our visit and made us feel valued as customers. Make sure you try the sticky toffee pudding. Delicious. Will be back soon Thank you.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Whilst the food looked good, unfortunately not all of the dishes were flavoursome: my cod and chorizo fishcake for example was more potato with only a very faint taste of chorizo. The ribs were very good though and overall, the price was quite reasonable.

Amazing food with huge portion sizes, lovely atmosphere and staff are spot on, nothing is too much for them and they go above and beyond to make your evening enjoyable. We have been a couple of times now and will certainly be returning, especially for the roast dinners.
