I’m rocking backwards and forwards between 3-4. And left at 3 reading other people’s reviews.. now the place inside looks great, the staff seem decent and it does seem to fill up. I ordered sausages mash and peas with gravy and presentation is great. Good! But eating it I was like.. is this smash? And for the price of £13 it definitely was a passing by place at the time of rather going to KFC, or maybe they know this. . . ? Anyways £30-40 spent in no time .. not super bad but not amazing .

Found an absolute gem today ✨️ completely made up inside and out brilliant atmosphere and the food is out of this world the prawn cocktail was so meaty and melts in you're mouth and the garlic mushrooms are to absolute die for too! I recommend both dishes highly 😋 great parking too

Had the hot beef baguette with onions, gravy, chips and salad. Plenty of chunky beef but would have preferred beef sliced and gravy served separately as it made the baguette soggy . Friendly greeting and service. Excellent new refurbishment.

I'll be honest, I haven't tried the food from here yet, but having sampled the drinks and experienced the staff, I will be back at some point to try the food. I had a half pint of IPA (which I might add was very nice) and a glass of Pepsi. Aaron and Paul had a couple of pints of some purple stuff, which I was assured was some form of lager and blackcurrant. John had standard lager. Ste had a couple of bottles of beer with lime stuck in the neck. Will was hiding in the corner so not quite sure what he had, but no doubt involved water to feed the 'big guns'. And Frazer had God knows how many Jagerbomb shots. I know he enjoyed these, as all he kept saying all night was how 'smooth' they were. Haven't heard from him for two days, so they must have been reeeally good! The staff were very nice, and were protected by massive sneeze guards, and there were stickers all over the show reminding of the social distancing rules. At one point I did think the lovely lady behind the bar winked at me, but it turned out she had something in her eye. Was quite happy to avoid the awkward 'I'm married' conversation through the perspex. Anywho, I will definitely be back, as although it may not look massively spectacular on the outside, it is very welcoming on the inside....

First time we have used our hi life card I got free with my buildings and contents insurance. Staff were very polite and helpful but the food left something to be desired. Even getting the cheapest starter and main for free the food was still disappointing.

Signature Chicken Liver & Smoked Bacon Pâté Served with garlic croutes, mixed leaf salad & homemade chutney. £4.75 NO GARLIC CROUTES.

Pan Seared Bury Black PuddingServed with soft poached egg, wholegrain cream mustard. £5.95. EGG WAS HARD BOILED NOT RUNNY AT ALL.

Pan Seared Lamb CutletsOn a bed of minted crushed new potatoes and seasonal vegetables, dressed in red wine jus. £16.95. EXCELLENT.

Mixed GrillServed with chips, onion rings, peas, mushroom & tomato. £21.95. WHILST I CANNOT ARGUE WITH THE AMOUNT OF MEAT. IT WAS JUST MEAT SALAD LEAVES BALSAMIC VINEGAR AND CHIPS. NO ONION RINGS PEAS MUSHROOMS OR TOMATO. I WAS NOT OFFERED ANY BASIC SAUCES AND HAD TO ASK FOR MUSTARD. MEAT WAS CHICKEN. LAMB STEAK (HUGE PIECE OF STEAK) PORK BUT NO SAUSAGE WHICH...

When we first went in there was a weird smell of cheap bleach that was quite off putting. My sister had the steak pie with chips and peas, the pie was a little burnt around the edges, she could have coped with that but the pie had been nuked, the pastry was quite soggy. I ordered the cheese pie with new potatoes but I forgot to mention that I’d also like peas with mine and gravy, when it was brought to me it had tomato beans, so I politely asked if I could change it for peas with gravy, I was told that it would take too long to do the peas 🤷🏻‍♀️ and that I could have them if I wanted to wait about 20 mins or so 😲 Peas only need heating up. All I had on my plate was the slice of cheese pie and 5 small new potatoes, Unbelievable, bear in mind that this was only around 1 pm on a Wednesday. The pub was very quiet ( not surprised there ) the bill came to £35 with the drinks. Never will we set foot in there again. Atmosphere was very dingy and dark. Not...
