Very friendly tea rooms with helpful staff. If it's not on the menu, I'm sure they can rustle it up (as long as it's a reasonable request). A tea room cum beach shop selling home/locally cooked dog biscuits to kids fishing nets and jars of jam. A good outdoor garden in the summer, and indoor seating in the conservatory for when the weather turns against you. A very short walk from the beach area. Dog and people friendly. It's definitely if worth a visit if you are near the area. Situated in a quiet spot near Hornsea (Mappleton) with a picturesque church opposite. Popular area with dog walkers. This was a 20-mile drive out for us, but worth it. There appears to be limited space for wheelchair users, but I'm sure that something can be arranged, as there is an alleyway behind the building that goes to the garden and conservatory.

I had afternoon tea today at this Little Gem. It was amazing. My sister and I like a good afternoon tea and have sampled a few over the years. Some in quite famous hotels and I have to say this one beats them all. No contest ! The selection of sandwiches, savoury, cakes and desert were amazing. All fresh and homemade. There was so much we brought them home for teatime. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. It was a truly wonderful treat and I can honestly say worth every penny ❤ Thank you ladies for taking good care of us. We will definitely be back x

What an absolute gem of a place!!! Visited yesterday with my husband! I'm Gluten free & the staff were amazing!! So helpful & friendly!! And a great choice of GF on the menu! Gorgeous GF bacon & sausage sandwich/ locally sourced!! They even gave details for me to order GF cake for next time we visit! Couldn't have been more helpful & wonderful food! Will definitely return & advise anyone to do the same! For a tiny establishment they've definitely got it right! Biker friendly too! XX Best place I've ever eaten at! Thank you!! ❤️❤️

We called after a cold visit to the beach, collecting fossils. The Old Post Office is only a short walk from the beach car park and we were welcomed with a warm blast as we opened the door and even warmer smiles. We really enjoyed our lunch of homemade soup and sandwiches, in particular the carrot and parsnip soup what ch was delicious. Our only disappointment was not having a cake or ice cream as we were heading out to dinner later in the day and didn’t want to spoil our fish and chips. The staff and menu appeared to cater to as many people as possible with dogs and children made welcome and I noticed gluten free and vegetarian options. This place is great and it certainly will entice us back...
