Well well. all these years I’ve driven past a little gem. My wife and I just had a lovely lunch.firstly a cosy warm welcome with a smile. The wine come to the table perfectly chilled. The waitress was charming and polite. Then our wonderful roasts arrrived. Piping hot. Perfect in every way.a proper Sunday roast. We dine out all the time at various restaraunts and pubs. This place put Burley manor to shame. We have had an appalling Xmas lunch there. Disgusting infact. Had to send the meals back. And leave. If you have Kids go to the Horns...
Read moreRichard and Jackie and their staff run a very pleasant and friendly pub. Customer service is always at the forefront of their business, if they can do it, they will! The food is homemade and fantastic, some great hearty meals or even the lightest, tasty snacks are available. There is always a wide variety of ales, many of them local, so well worth a visit if you like to sample local brews. The clientele are mostly local and very friendly and welcoming, especially if you have a dog!! Occasionally there is entertainment of various kinds, from rock bands to morris dancers and some darts on a Friday night.
All in all, I can't fault this local pub, a great pit stop or for a nice evening, you won't be...
