I attended a wake on 27th March. When we arrived the doors were closed and we had to sit in our cars because it was cold and raining. When we entered the pub it was freezing and the food was not ready. We had to wait for the coffee machine to warm up. After about an hour the food was brought out. Sadly some of the party had to leave by then. The food consisted of pies containing little or no meat and were cut in half. The tiniest of sausage rolls, a few chips, two small jugs of gravy which they served you. Bowl of pasta and coleslaw. A tray of sandwiches. Small quiche cut into quarters. Mini pork pies cut in half. 3 tray bakes. I was informed this was charged at £14 per head. Despite asking for the heating on, it stayed colder inside than outside. No tea or coffee provided with the meal. I have attended several wakes and never been so disappointed with the facility. Wish I had taken photos...
