The Pantry — Restaurant in England

The Pantry is a comfortable size cafe on Tow Law High Street. It is popular with both local residents and nearby villages. Visitors from further afield are just as welcome. Staff and customers are Always warm, and genuinely friendly. The menu is varied with a good choice of meals, well cooked and presented. Portion sizes are typical of the North East so if you are watching your weight best order child sized!!! We love going there just for coffee and cake (shared of course!) But we also go there for mince and dumplings (me) burger and chips (son) and lasagna (hubby) not because that's all they do but because we don't usually have them at home. The Pantry is only down the road from us but we eat there regularly simply because it is a lovely place with good food, good service, good prices and great staff! Highly recommend you...

Excellent food available at affordable prices. You can expect very high levels of quality with generous portions. Plus, hand cut, home cooked chips way better than any pub. The menu is varied with traditional meals and puddings alongside vegetarian and low-cal options. Lots of extras like a full hots drinks menu, sandwiches, sweets for the kids and lots more. Called for a late breakfast to break our journey to Scotland. The cafe was almost empty when we arrived but within a few minutes it filled up with locals who all seemed to know each other and were rather loud.
