What a wonderful wee dog-friendly cafes this is, in the heart of Cawood, North Yorkshire. It's part of a shop/Deli/Post Office. I had poached eggs with bacon and mushrooms on Sourdough Toast from the Specials Board and a Mocha. Both were delicious. My wife arrived from her hairdressing appointment and thoroughly enjoyed the spicy carrot and lentil soup with melted cheese on granary toast. A connoisseur of soups, she loved it. First time trying this place.. Lovely and friendly staff.. Very busy... We ordered two belly buster hot sandwiches... Bacon, sausage, egg and a potato rostie... Not the best.... Just bland... No real flavour to the sausages... Or anything... My egg was over done... The potato rostie wasn't crispy.. £6 each was expensive for the quality and size that we got. It was just a bit dissapoining as all the other food looked great like the sausage rolls and fresh hot...

We chose a butcher’s steak pie to share, it was packed with steak & a delicious gravy, the pastry was very tasty. The decor was very tastefully done with fabulous heavy duty wooden tables, benches, backrests & light fixtures. Worth a visit but you need to be there before...
