The Quirky Teapot — Restaurant in England

We had a great lunch here today, 2 kids and 2 adults. The restaurant is set in a great location, v cute and lots to look at. The kids shared a tuna jacket potato and adults shared a nammet plate and a brie and onion quiche. All of the food was fabulous, really tasty and fresh. Also all the food was well presented. Clean plates all round! For pudding we shared an avocado and pistachio cake and a white chocolate and marshmallow cheesecake - absolutely delicious!!!!!!!!! I'd highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning when we are next on IOW.

Our first visit to this tea room. We had been waiting for a few days and couldn’t wait to try it since the reviews were great. Despite having to wait about 45 minutes for the food as it was busy, it was worth the wait. My husband and made a mistake of ‘popping’ into the antique shop next to the tearoom but we bought many items. My 3 teenage boys agreed that it’s the second best place for tea after our first favourite. We had the Caesar salad, ham and cheese toastie, mushroom and cream on sourdough slice, Eton mess, cream tea and a smoked salmon sandwich. This our first visit won't be our last, the setting is beautiful and quiet with a antiques shop right by the gate well worth a browse.

The tearoom itself is nestled on the other side of the courtyard, with ramped access. Inside is a tastefully decorated with ornamental lighting which was bright but not overpowering.

Table service with the very friendly and attentive staff. The menu is extensive for a small tearoom and oh wow the food looks and tastes great, portion sizes are just right.

BOOKING AHEAD IS ADVISED, the staff were having to turn people away as all the tablets where occupied. This is a little gem hidden away in a beautiful location.
