The restaurant was small but cozy and we didn’t mind sharing the space with men in orange high vis jackets, presumably factory workers. The cider was exquisite, we tried two varieties that were very different but top quality. The starter menu had changed, which was a great pity, because this has been a great draw in the past. The fish was fresh, the batter cooked to perfection, with excellent chunky chips to accompany and a slice of lemon.
Overall, a tasty lunch and a great experience, we’ll...
