After a lovely afternoon at Marcle Steam Rally, we decided to cross the road and go to the Walwyn Arms for a meal. We asked about the steak menu and were told they were 4oz steaks. Read moreWent here for Christmas and wow a really beautiful pub with a friendly owner and super attentive staff and excellent homemade food that totally blows most carverys out off the water .Being a professionally trained chef I am hard to please and very rarely leave without criticism but the chef was a great guy very professional and friendly and cooked us up a storm of vibrant fresh steaming hot food that had me super impressed .The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the Yorkshire pudding, surfing and meats were A1 .The beef and turkey was executed to perfection and even extra gravy was delivered by the chef to your table .If you want a wholesome meal with a beautiful setting and a well stocked bar then visit the walwyn Arms. I would book to avoid dissapointment as it gets busy for the right reasons .5 star review...
