Oh wow, where to go with this… stopped for breakfast before the ferry as had been told it did “great breakfasts”. That may be true, but it also does astoundingly bad service. After confirming we had 4 in our party, and ordering 3 breakfast rolls and a juice at 11.12, at 11.35 there was no sign. On querying, the slightly dazed staff member seemed firstly surprised that I’d ordered food from him not 20 mins earlier (there was only 3 other people in the restaurant) and secondly put out that I was qeurying the pace of production on a bacon sandwich. After shuffling off and checking he confirmed they were coming, and indeed they were - 2 of them anyway - another 20 mins later. What did arrive was very much “to a price” shall we say. The whole place seems a bit hit and miss - a metaphor than can be extended to the car park that is very tight and we saw several near misses in an hour. It’s ok if you need to kill an hour, otherwise avoid.

Poor at best! My family was welcomed in on Saturday evening, the restaurant was quiet. We all chose our meals but when ordering we were told half of it wasn’t available and there a 40 minute delay, ok we can rethink and wait! Omg just look at the the pictures, this was my burger meal and my daughters pasta, the other meals were no better either, basically penne pasta in tomato water and the burgers can only be described as drinks coasters, rock hard and about 5mm thick! These pictures are before we had touched the meals in case you wonder! The staff are trying there hardest it seems but the quality of the ingredients is diabolical! It’s not expensive but it’s also barely edible! Just to top it off the toilets are manky with no soap in the dispensers. Definitely won’t spend time or money there again.

Booked online the day before for a wee Birthday Lunch. Beautiful location, friendly staff and quick service. On arrival. a lovely table was reserved but, as quiet we moved to one with a view of the boats. We chose the Carvery option and went for the full works. Lots of choice on the carvery including 3 meats, Gammon, Turkey and Beef. The friendly Chef kindly gave us extra slices of meat, instead of the sausages on request. Other half has my yorkies as I'm GF! The food was tasty, cooked well and very filling. Only negative, the beef gravy could have been a little hotter but, to be fair it was full of flavour. Drinks: we choose the fruit sodas, very refreshing on a warm day. Overall a lovely lunch, served quickly with scenic views of the harbour, just perfect.
