Wow, quirky and then some!! Loved it here, my kinda place. Lovely courtyard setting in this old building. Plenty of outdoor seating. Unfortunately when I landed, twas only cake and drinks, food was finished. But I opted for the white chocolate and raspberry frangipani and a ginger beer. The lofty rooms, the decor and furnishings - all fabulously quirky. Great vibe. Lots of differing rooms to sit in. And on top of all this loveliness, they do Saturday Blues Sessions, my fave muso. Varying bands The Mighty Howlers, Southern Fried Groove Queens, Big Dog Boogie Band, Railroad Blues. I mean, wow, a night of the blues in this setting.... total heaven! A short walk away is the Abbey with its stunning Norman entrance and it's William Morris windows. Very highly recommend the Stables if you like a quirky...

Lovely atmosphere, make sure you wrap up warm as it's an open barn, they do supply warm wool blankets to snuggle in.

I ordered a flat white and it tasted really good. The menu was surprisingly small and no meat dish choice, but what they did offer was very unique and interesting. I settled for the Camembert with a bread roll. It was delicious, a tasty topping of seed and nuts then at the bottom a sweet syrup, which really complemented the whole dish. It was quite rich on the palate, so they were very kind to wrap the leftovers and I took it home, to enjoy later with some red wine.

Friendly and easy going staff, and also a gift/farm shop opposite, which had some really tempting treats.

Truly is a unique place ! We watched the famous BBC show Beyond Paradise which is filmed here ! It’s an amazing building with massive history & you can not stop taking pictures in summer it must be truly beautiful with its amazing court yard to sit outside ! The inside is fantastic true to history & keeping its form ! Their hot chocolate is a must & my son quoted it’s the best he has ever had ! My wife loved the place ! The staff are so friendly 10/10 fantastic service ! The clothes shop on this site is amazing ! Must be amazing to get married here ! Enjoy the pictures & go there your self !
