The Stables Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in England

As we cycled past yesterday on our bikes we popped in to look at the menu, saw the tasty food and decided to go back to eat after our bike ride. Whilst there Stephen was super friendly and kind enough to supply us with more water (and ice)for our journey.

We went back in the evening and had just settled ourselves at the table in the sunshine when the weather changed. Linda said unfortunately they were unable to accommodate us inside the restaurant as they were fully booked however she said we could sit in the conservatory at the back. I was disappointed as we love eating outdoors and I said I'd spotted a little wooden covered structure in the beer garden at the back and said could we sit in there. She said it wasn't cleaned out as yet but as we went round the back to our delight Stephen and Jake were sweeping it out and disinfecting the tables for us!!! Talk about making us feel welcome!!

Our meals were absolutely delish and the service by all three including Tom the chef were second to none! Sadly we didn't have enough time for pudding or to stay for the quiz....

The warmest of welcomes!!! That’s exactly what we were given, as a party of 12 with a disabled guest and also a dog in tow the staff couldn’t have been better. We were greeted on arrival and parking and access into the restaurant were specially provided for us. We were seated in more secluded area of the restaurant which was ideal for our group. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and every one was extremely friendly. But this was all just a sideline to the real star of the show… the food! Absolutely delicious! As a group we ate a variety of different dishes from the menu and every single one was a winner! Although this restaurant is a little off the beaten track it is well worth the extra effort to visit. I booked in to maustin park on travels around Yorkshire with my wife. As it was her birthday, not saying how old , lol, We booked in to the stables for a meal. On arriving we were greeted by Nichola and her son Tom. The stables is well set out, Modern, spacious , and friendly. As it was steak night, we opted for this. It included a bottle of wine. Top notch chips, onion rings, delicious. Peppercorn sauce rather nice. All in all, this is a gem of a place. It's a pity I live over a 100 miles away, or I would visit regularly.......... well done The Stables, I wish your business success in the future. Jeff&alison.
