We came here on our way back from Falmouth and will definitely be back to eat again. The home cooked curries were absolutely delicious, perfectly spiced and well presented. Nothing out of a tin here. We tried the lamb jalfrezi and fish & prawn coconut curry. Both were spot on. The Landlord and staff were particularly friendly and attentive in this cosy, dog friendly village pub. Beer and food are all at an excellent price. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area - just look out for the sharp turn in the road by the pub and up to the car park.

Had a fabulous lunch. Team were really friendly & helpful and the food was delicious. I had mussels with bacon, cider and cream and as a habitual mussel eater, these were the best I've had in so long. Big fat juicy mussels locally sourced in Fowey, cooked to perfection. For a mussel dish it was really sunstantial. Loads of mussels and lots of veg & bacon, maybe some fennel. Loved it. No complaints from the OH on his burger either. Locally brewed beers, dogs welcome, non-locals welcome 😅. Quiz nights on Sundays. Lovely place.

Sunday dinner tasted very average for £15. I had the chicken. Chicken wasn't sliced, more shredded. Served with some carrot, peas, 3 roast potatoes, rosted parsnip, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese (to share), and gravy. The main letdown was the chicken, tasted bland, and the shredded texture was not the best. I'm not sure about just serving peas and carrots, would expectbetter choice of veg for the price. I've had better roasts.

Fantastic little pub with a super cozy atmosphere, great ales and other beers/ciders, soaked in history and everything else one would come to expect from an english pub. However, the food was below standard, especially considering they charge a little more than average compared to other pubs around here. The hummus was an inedible soup of raw and bitter lemon, the camembert was baked to within an inch of its life leaving a salty gloop and sadly, the grilled mediterranean vegetables were raw, save a couple of griddle marks left for what one would assume is effect.

There was little attention placed on the full plates returning to the kitchen from our table, nor any form of dialogue when our concerns were aired. The bill was paid in full with no final discussion on how are meals were, so while I would absolutely return for the beer and atmosphere, I would hope this fantastic new team would pay closer attention to what leaves the kitchen and how customer concerns...

This is my local, where they know your name, remember my drink and remember where I live in case I can't remember the way home. The real ales are brilliant and it makes a change not to stick to St Austell Ales as we are surrounded by St Austell pubs. The food is real Indian home cooking (unusual to find in a pub in Cornwall, but very tasty, with some pub favourites like homemade steak and ale pie or scampi and chips. Sunday lunch is awesome, much better than some other local pubs and cheaper. Its only open evenings and Sunday lunch times and there is always something going on, music nights, quiz and charity stuff. So much better than a managed house and so much better than...

Pub has been taken over by new owners. No more homemade curries. We had the Camembert starter and cider&bacon mussels. Both were quite poor. Bread with Camembert was charred and tasted burnt. No chutney served with the cheese as advertised. The bacon in the mussels I expected to be pancetta or similar but was large strips of smoked thick cut bacon which took over the entire aroma of the dish which wasn’t pleasant. Again bread served with mussels were charred. Not many redeeming factor for the specialty meals, was also quite expensive at £20 per...
