Firstly let me state this review is absolutely true to the events of the evening. It's not a complaint against the staff, two young fellas doing the best they could running backwards and forwards between taking orders at the bar running to the kitchens and dealing with customers out their tables. They were ever surprised and apologetic and had to carry the can far what to be totally honest was quite a poor and shambolic experience. We arrived on I believe Wednesday evening 18/6/25 and my pleasantly surprised by the interior looking rather nice and the place was quite full so we had nothing to suggest it wasn't going to be a poor experience. We ordered a drink a point of Madri and a glass of medium white wine, £14.25, which to be honest I think is a little expensive. I had cash to pay for them with but they apologised as they couldn't take cash due to having no float in the till , it was card only . After 10 to 15 minutes having our drinks in the nice leather chairs before we asked if we could take our table slightly early , five mins ? I asked if we coulder order off the supper menu offer, and we could. There was a nice choice of food but given I was going to eat fish the following evening and I have to be careful about meals with pastry I opted for one of the chicken dishes the schnitzel, and my wife the lemon chicken and pasta. The latter I asked for first, to be met by an apology that the dish was off the menu, so I got my wifes second choice, opting for the same as myself. Staff went to check and came back apologising that too wasn't available. Third time lucky ? Ok, so we ordered a beetroot burger and the a sesame coated chicken burger. . . Errr, sorry, there's no chicken whatsoever. . . .ok , fourth time, I will have a beetroot burger too then , so two beetroot burgers. After ten mins or so one of the staff came to ask us if it was beefburgers or beetroot burger we had ordered ? Beetroot please ! Then again a few mins later the same fella came to our table to tell us there was no vegan cheese, would normal cheese be ok. . . Yes , that's ok ( especially since we've been trying to order chicken all evening ??? I don't think non vegan cheese bothers us too much ) Finally we got our meal. Part way through the meal a large blue bottle fly fell on my wife's head onto the table and then on the floor. It seem to be in a position of doing the dead fly dance ! I'm okay you might not think there's anything particularly bad about a fly and things cannot be helped like that, but without saying anything I had noticed behind my wife as she sat in the window a very large amount of dead flies both in the windowsill and on top of the sash window along with the cobwebs. So it's all well and good having a nice looking pull but surely if you're serving food and you have an issue with flies in the room you would try and do something and at least notice them. ( I did take a photo of around a dozen of them, but I don't feel I need to add to the nature of this review anymore than I am. ) We then had the pudding, which was ok, but didn't feel in anyway that any part of it was homemade ? I remained pleasant to the staff, and went to the bar to pay. On being charged but man behind the bar asked if everything was okay and I had to challenge him as I'd been overcharged. As at the start of the evening I'd asked if I could order off of the supper menu offer and I had been charged for the same food but around £10 more ! I don't think the burger alone was worth around £18.50 if I remember rightly on its own, after all it was only a relatively average sized plant based veggie burger and some fries. And there it is, what a shower ! The two young fellas doing their best, no front of house to apologise about things or take command ? Sorry, just not...

Life savers and eternally grateful for their selfless compassion.. I turned up just before the doors were about to close for the night. I was soaking wet through, torn clothing, steamed up glasses, and almost hyperthermic. I rode a bicycle from Truro train station, a cycle ride that should have been no more than three hours. I used a satnav to find my way to St Keverne. I set the satnav to cycle mode. Big mistake. I should have set it to car mode. Anyway, 7 hours later after failed attempts to get here in the cold and rain, I stumbled upon this village pub. I asked the management if they could help me, explaining my experience since 05:45. Anyone else would have turned me away. Had that happened, I surely would have become hyperthermic and in a life threatening situation. My phone had completely drained of its charge. Bicycle lights had died and I now know my relatives were extremely concerned for my safety. I managed to charge the phone enough to tell them I was, safe. I also read all the texts that had been sent to me. I'm 65 and in retirement. I only came to Cornwall to drive a car back to Manchester because my niece didn't have the confidence to drive back herself after experiencing Cornish country lanes. So I volunteered to do the drive back. The Three tuns Pub gave me a superb room. Excellent hot shower, TV, hot drink facilities in the room; which is one of the cleanest and tidiest rooms I ever stayed in. A great night's sleep. Mind, spirit and body - a good night's sleep. Breakfast was pre-booked for 8am. What a cracking breakfast. Hot and tasty and plentiful. I ate the lot. With a beautiful pot of tea to complete the breakfast. I was offered more if I wanted any but honestly, I was satiated. My relatives came by car to collect me soon after. We all agreed that we will call in there again for a big feed. We're here for the week. We like...

I visited The Three Tuns with 5 others for an evening meal. It was a lovely setting, with an exciting menu for both food and cocktails, which we were all looking forward to after seeing many positive reviews. However, we were unfortunately very disappointed with the service. The waitresses were absolutely trying their hardest and we really appreciated their efforts, but they seemed very out of their depth and lacked training. Cocktails and some starters were unavailable as (to our understanding) the chef hadn’t turned up for their shift, so the manager was in the kitchen and could therefore not train staff on cocktail making and their general roles. A food order was taken for 6 main meals, and we were informed after being served 4 of the 6 that one meal was actually unavailable on the menu, and the other missing meal was not taken down with the rest of the order. When we asked to speak with the manager, who was visibly (and understandably) stressed, she told us she had taken over the restaurant only a week ago and staff were still being trained. We understood this, but nonetheless struggled to accept paying full price for the bill after the poor service, which caused some disagreement between ourselves and the manager. In hindsight, it would have been more appropriate if we had been honestly informed on arrival that the kitchen/restaurant wasn’t functioning as it usually would, so that we could have dined elsewhere rather than having this experience. However, we could tell the restaurant really does have great potential, the meals that we did receive were enjoyable despite the issues, and we sincerely hope that with time, appropriate staffing, and training that things will...

**To the other reviews about the daughter's birthday party - we were actually there when the family was eating (with their kids running wild and ipads on full volume, naturally). These customers were extremely rude to the workers, ate their food and didn't complain about anything until they went to pay the bill, at which point they were looking for a refund. Make of that what you will...** We stumbled across this pub and inn and stayed for three heavenly nights. The room was spacious and very comfortable (and really nicely decorated!), the included breakfast was not only the best we've had from a hotel but the best full English we've ever had, and the Sunday roast was equally fabulous. Great extra amenities like a kettle, many teas and coffee with biscuits, and even complimentary night caps. Lovely to sit on the couch or two arm chairs by the window and watch the town square or listen to the church bells. Service was friendly and attentive, the staff were absolute gems and you can tell the people here really take pride in their work. A lot of love has been put into this place and it shows. I really hope to come back one day, so much so that next time I'm in the UK this will be top of the list. The village itself is adorable too, out of the way of the tourist bustle of Penzance but close enough to visit the sites. Thank you so much for the stay, it was like a dream! (Much love from the two Canadian sisters ❤️)

We had a fabulous stay at this boutique pub whilst walking the South West Coast Path. As the rooms were already booked out we opted for glamping in one of the bell tents beautifully situated beyond the pub garden and any qualms about how basic our accommodation might be were quickly quashed. Luxury under canvas awaited us and every little design detail had been thoughtfully crafted to give the space a stylish, spacious and cosy vibe. The double bed was high quality super comfortable with crisp white linen, warm throws and a hot water bottle if needed. Furnishings were nicely chosen and added to the delightful personal touches throughout including a welcome tray of specialty drinks and biscuits provided along with a kettle for tea and coffee making. The communal bathrooms were exceptional with walk in power showers, tiled floors and flushing loos all spotlessly clean and fitted to a very high standard with lovely products provided for guest use. Honestly if you were staying indoors you couldn’t ask for better!! On top of that the food both in the evening service and at breakfast was memorable - quality, quirky, imaginative and reasonably priced - this is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ gem of a place that we will definitely return to 🙏
