Not eaten here*, but stopped by for a pint or two a fair few times. We live nearer the Woodlands Edge pub, but they don't serve decent cider unfortunately. The Village Inn does. Always a good pint of Aspall here. Good range of drinks. Plenty of parking for those not drinking. Good atmosphere, clean toilets. Bar with big TV's showing sports, pool table and darts. Great lounge and restaurant area. *Edit: Son ordered a potion of Chicken Tenders, pretty sure they were £5.95, I was slightly dismayed when the dish came out with three Chicken Tenders, that to my mind cost nearly £2 each. Thought there might have been a mistake, but upon enquiring, was told the no, that is a standard portion. Oh well, know for next time.

We went for breakfast, and after the pub being open/closed/open/closed for so long, it was nice to see some normality back and the same high standard of food! The place is a little quieter than it used to be, but that’s expected with the pandemic! The breakfast was banging (I opted for no beans) the service fantastic and the staff friendly and welcoming! Thank you! Can’t wait to come back for food again 🙌🏼

Fantastic food! Such a great atmosphere with friendly bar staff. Amazing to have found such a wonderful pub on our door step. Highly recommend.

Was looking forward to coming back here after the refurb and had the opportunity last night. Ordered the chicken burger, haloumi fries and gyoza which would have come to a total of approx £23 without the gov scheme.

I was disappointed with both of the sides as portions were very small for the £6 price tag, however they were both tasty.

The chicken burger was better portioned, but the quality was lacking. I asked for southern fried but received plain chicken and was also missing the promised gherkins and "bloody mary" ketchup. Minus these things, the burger was very bland and tasted of nothing. Chips were very good.

The app was difficult to use, slow and didnt work everytime. The free drink was a nice touch, but the overall selection available on the app only included drinks (and not even all of them). Also the dark colour scheme was off-putting. I have used other apps in other places (such as fromthetable.co.uk) which are leagues above in quality so there is much room for improvement.

Overall most of the food tasted nice (apart from the burger) but nothing was really...

Shocking! 1st time I have been here and the last. Myself and partner order a mix grill, gammon-tastic with the mushroom raw, no pineapple and a side of halloumi. All seemed well until the meals came out..... mixed grill came out first. 5 mins later my gammon without the halloumi (they even came out not 5 mins before asking which meal the halloumi needed to go with!!!!) 2nd egg, onion rings & tomato. Apon delivery of the gammon the waiter walked off... no, can I get you some cutlery or sauces, of which we had none! Or are you missing anything. My other half went in to complain and they advised they thought I ordered the gammon standard to which I did not, after a lengthy argument and food going cold we finally got cutlery and salt/pepper. The extras came out but even this was wrong. They supplied a cooked mushroom instead of an egg and the gammon on both....did you bath them in salt!!!!!! I am never coming back here. Thanks for the god awful experience..... your staff didn't offer any appologie or check on us after or even offer a part refund etc........awful service...

Booked for 4 people on Friday 27th at 7pm. Arrived on time and ordered our meals within 10 minutes of arrival. The pub was reasonably quiet at that time. We then waited at least 20 minutes before 1 meal arrived and then a further 10 minutes before 2 more arrived. The 3 people proceeded to eat there meals while I waited for mine. A further 10 minutes passed and i had still not received my meal so i went and complained. I was told they were sorry and it was now being prepared. I then waited at least another 10 minutes by which time my 3 guests had finished there meals. Eventually i received my meal and was approached by a vey nervous young lad who proceeded to apologise and offered me a free drink. Although we cannot fault the meal, when we got them, the service was absolutely poor. I would have at least expected someone in management to come and apologise instead of hiding behind a youngster. This was the first time I had visited this pub, on someones recommendation but i doubt if i will be returning...
