Visited for Sunday lunch. Lovely location. Ordered Roast Lamb and Roast Chicken. More than enough food. Came with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, parsnips, broccoli and gravy. Choice of sauces, we had mint and cranberry. Afterwards we had Apple Pie (lattice), one with custard and one with cream. Food was well presented, hot and very tasty. The service was excellent – attentive, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we walked in.
The pub itself has a wonderful historical charm, full of character and atmosphere, which makes it a great spot to relax. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for both casual drinks and a nice meal.
The location is fantastic, easy to find, with spacious free parking available which is a huge bonus. The food was great too – well presented, tasty, and clearly made with care.

Read moreWhat a wonderful traditional British pub. Well manicured gardens, even for this time of year. Inside is very comfortable and a welcoming roaring log fire. Landlord is really friendly, in fact, all the staff are very friendly and simply nice people to be around. It's very homely. Toilets are immaculate.
