We have not been here for a while but thought we would try again as its in walking distance. The bar staff as always are exceptionally friendly and so very helpful. We ordered 2 16oz rump steaks with an egg topper, at a cost of nearly £18 each we were expecting something rather special. My other half had to send his steak back as it looked more like it had been boiled than cooked on a grill and the fried eggs had more of an appearance of scrambled than fried. The steaks were ordered medium rare and to be fair were cooked as that, but had very little taste. I had 3 out of about 6 onion rings that were just batter, no onion in sight, so did my other half. We were both very disappointed as the last time we had a steak here it was on a surf n turf from the previous menu and was absolutely beautiful. We won't be having steak here again as personally I think it's very over priced for a pub meal of this quality. May try the rotisserie chicken as at under £10 is less of a gamble. It would have been nice to see an 8oz rump option on the menu at a cheaper price instead of an expensive 16oz. The pub itself has a really friendly atmosphere and like I stated earlier fantastic bar staff, who are the reason I didn't give this review 1 star. I feel quite bad for leaving such a negative review but I guess if the management aren't aware of issues then they can't be expected to...

Read moreI have not been to the Willow in many years, and I certainly will not be going back- this is an awful place- I rang & booked a table for 6 people & informed them I had an assistance dog with us- I was told "that's fine" & "no problem" On arriving I asked a member of staff where our table was & was shown to it without a problem! 5 minutes later another member of staff informed us dogs not allowed! This immediately BREAKS the LAW & discriminates against disabled people! So the Willow has been reported to the "pubs code adjudicator" for further checks! We eventually had to sit outside with all the smelly smokers! The food was cold, one of my party had to send their steak back TWICE as they ordered it "medium/well done" but kept coming back with blood dripping from it! Eventually had refund as they couldn't get it right! NOT...
